- Stop off in Bran in order to see Bran Castle, often associated with Vlad Dracul who inspired Bram Stoker’s character. The castle is not wheelchair accessible, but you can visit the gardens and have a photo shooting session.

- The last stop of the day is Sibiu, where you check into your 4**** hotel and have lunch.

- After lunch we visit the Astra Village Museum just outside of town. The Village Museum gives you a pleasant opportunity to experience Romanian traditions and houses. The museum is wheelchair friendly.

Included: Breakfast, dinner, 4**** hotel

Day 4: Sighisoara – The inhabited mediaeval citadel.

- After breakfast we set off for Sighisoara.

- On our way we stop off at Medias to visit the citadel built between 1440 and 1534.

- We cross the beautiful Tarnave Valley conservation arean, the road passing through wooden hills just like like in Bram Stoker’s novel. Tarnave valley is also well known for its vineyards, well appreciated for their tasty wine. Actually, the most endearing feature of this region is its people, architecture, and landscape.

- Reaching Sighisoara, you lodge in a 4**** hotel, close to the old citadel.

- In Sighisoara you find one of the few inhabited citadels in the world. The citadel’s cobbled streets preserve the old mediaeval look, so wheelchair access is limited friendly. It is so pretty due to its colourful houses and eye-like windows.

About Sighisoara: It’s one of the best preserved citadels in Europe and among the few citadels still inhabited. Sighisoara is a popular tourist destination, due to its well-preserved walled old town. The landmark of the city is the Clock Tower, a 64m high tower built in the 13th century. The city played an important strategic and commercial role at the edges of Central Europe for several centuries. Sighisoara became one of the most important cities of Transylvania, with artisans from throughout the Holy Roman Empire visiting the settlement.

Day 5: Return to Bucharest.

- After breakfast, it’s time to head back to the airport.

- On your way back you have short stop off in Saschiz to see the fortified church and 500-year-old clock tower.

- Another detour takes you to Viscri to take some pictures of its fortified church. The location is entirely rural so it’s not wheelchair accessible, but you can have a photography session. Prince Charles owns a house in Viscri so you’ll have a story to tell. The Saxon villages of Transylvania, such as Saschiz and Viscri, are considered one of the architectural jewels of Romania.
