At the grassy area next to Cape Ogon, you can rent a camping set ( ten t , tab le and chai r ) or the bungalow.

At the Yatto Marine School, which is located in the Golden Beach watchtower building, you can sign up for Banana Boat or Jet Ski rides. (admission fee)

In summer you can enjoy fishing for shore crabs at the rocky beach near Cape Ogon. However, please be advised that shore crab fishing is for catch-and-release only. Fishing tackle and other items can be purchased at the seaside stores.

The grassy area on the hillside, which is located near the symbolic Ogon monument Hato-no-mon, is a free of charge campsite. There is space for about 20 tents and a multi-purpose sink is available for public use. The parking lot is situated just below the campsite.

The Umi no Furusatokan, which stands on the hill above Cape Ogon, is a museum of local history a n d c u l t u r e . A v a r i e t y o f memorabilia, and the piano that belonged to the famous composer Sato Masaru is also on display there.

SenboudaiFrom this hill one can see all of Rumoi City with the harbor at its center. The view from this relaxing scenic spot encompasses the islands of Teur i and Yagish i r i ou t to sea and Mt . Shokanbetsudake to the south.

At the log house s i tua t ed a t t he top o f Senboudai, visitors can enjoy meals such as pasta made with locally grown ingredients, good coffee and ice cream.

Soft ice cream and Hamayaki, or Rumoi-style seafood barbecue (reservation required), are some of the delicious choices available at this hilltop restaurant house.

Kamuiwa park was created in the mountainous area 5 kilometers to the east of Rumoi City proper. Located in this natural setting and equipped with playground toys, camp sites and a park golf course, this park is popular with locals of all ages.

Hotel Kamuiwa is a hot spring hote l , which was bui l t in the Meiji Era.

The giant octopi that swim in the waters off the coast of Rumoi are large and thick, which m a k e s t h e m especially delicious to eat.
