Operating times03.12.2010 until 01.05.2011 · daily 8:45 - 16:00 (gondola lift until 16:30).

Page 5: Hochzeiger Winterinfo 2010-11 EN

Offi ce timesDaily 08:30 – 17:00, Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 17:30.

Advanced purchaseFrom 15:00 – fi rst valid the next day. Please use advanced purchase to avoid wai-ting times the next day. Many landlords offer the opportunity to purchase ski passes directly from them. Please check with your landlord.

Payment methodsIn addition to cash (euro), the cableway offi ces accept the following methods of payment(Please observe the limits of your credit or bank card):

General provisionsPlease understand that our offi ce personnel can make no exceptions to the tariffs. Photos are not required for ski passes (except annual passes). The ski passes are not transferable and must be produced on request by our supervisory staff.

Retrospective exchange and the extension or alteration of validity terms are not possi-ble. Cards not purchased at the offi ces and lost cards are stopped by the card readers. Misuse will result in the ski pass being withdrawn! (Attempting to transfer a ski pass to another person constitutes misuse.) The right is reserved to make a report to the authorities. The tariff and transport conditions apply. We would point out that under railway liability laws only guests with valid passes enjoy insurance cover.

If the transport conditions are breached, ski slope closures are ignored, the skiing bans in forests or FIS rules are violated, exclusion from transport will be the result. In serious cases the ski pass will be withdrawn without compensation and a report to the authorities may be made.

Page 6: Hochzeiger Winterinfo 2010-11 EN

Free local transport on the regiobus (skibus)From all Pitztal locations to the lift station and back! Help protect the environment - take advantage of the free bus system.

Lost and found offi ceHave you lost something? Ask at the Hochzeiger cableway offi ce.

Piste opening timesPistes are open daily from 08:45 until 17:00. Use of the pistes outside those times is dangerous (preparation with piste-maintenance vehicles, cable winding and so on) and forbidden! Please be careful when snow installations and piste equipment are being used.

Refunds (Hochzeiger ski pass)Refunds of ski passes only take place in the event of ski accidents, which must be certifi ed by a doctor practising in the ski region or by a nearby hospital. Refunds will be made if the ski pass and purchase receipt (stop number receipt) are immediately submitted to the cableway offi ce. All days count as used until submission of the ski pass. If that is before 10:00 that day is not counted as used. It is not the date of acci-dent which matters but the time of submission. A medical certifi cate can be produced at the latest the next day. For family members or accompanying persons, who have to leave early with the injured person, there will be no refund!

For illness, early departure, non-operation of cableways or lifts for reasons which are beyond the control of the company, such as poor weather and natural disasters, and non-operation of individual installations or closures of descents, there will be no refund and no claim for extension of the ski pass will be entertained.

Page 7: Hochzeiger Winterinfo 2010-11 EN

Lost cardsLost ski passes for 1 and 2 days will not be replaced. If a Hochzeiger ski pass is lost with at least 3 days validity, you will receive a replacement card against presentation of the purchase receipt (stop number receipt), payment of a processing fee of € 5.00 and a deposit of € 2.00 for the new key card, for the remainder of its validity. The value of the lost card will not be replaced.

Piste rescue (Emergency number: +43 (0)5414/87000-79)If rescue transport is by akja, piste-maintenance vehicle or helicopter a charge of € 150.00 will be made to cover initial on-site treatmen.

It’s not worth breaking the rules! Anyone found in controlled zones without a valid pass will be charged additional trans-port costs of € 72.00.

Fresh snowfallWe strive to provide our guests with perfect slope conditions every day. However, when fresh snow falls it is not always possible even with all grooming machines deployed to prepare all the slopes simultaneously. And in some weather and snow conditions, fresh snow does not always bind to the older snow underneath, and the new snow can still shift around and form new drifts and irregularities. Unfortunately, this cannot be prevented with even the best grooming of the slopes.

Liability disclaimer for cards Individual services to which the bearer of this card is entitled are provided by legally independent businesses. The business selling the card only acts as representative for the other businesses. As such, each individual business is responsible for the provision of individual services and for compensation in the event of any and all calamities.

Did you know that ... ?

... only 4.8% of the area of the municipality of Jerzens is used for skiing.

... snow from the artifi cial snow installations is made only from water and air.

... artifi cial snow installations rely on the technical emulation of a natural process? Chemicals are not used at all. Simply mix water and cold ambient air in a particular ratio. Extremely fi ne particles of water then crystallise into snow.

... one snow cannon costs as much as a BMW3s!

... two fl ights (return tickets) to Caribbean destinations with 270 passen-gers have the same energy consumption as the Hochzeiger snowma-king facilities throughout the winter season.

... one snow groomer has the value of a family’s house; every night, seven of them groom the slopes.

... in the 2009/10 winter the cableways and lifts carried more than 3 million people.

... during summer months most slopes in the ski region are used as pastures, so that these days more cattle can be bred that before the ski region was established.

The Hochzeiger in summer -hikable and likable

Page 19: Hochzeiger Winterinfo 2010-11 EN

... each year some 50 tonnes of manure from our local farms are used to fertilise the slopes.

... the lake on the Sechszeiger, which is also used for the artifi cial snow installations, has the content of approximately 115 family houses (in all some 115,000 m³)

... in the winter more than 400 people are employed in the ski region.

... our businesses in the region provide several hundred jobs.

... for each ski pass sold, for artifi cial snow alone some € 4.00 has to be spent.
