We can’t believe that it’s almost time for our Fall Bazaar! We are giving you all a heads up and a “Save The Date” for Saturday, November 16th, 10:00am -2:00pm. This event is not open to the public but you, your family and friends are invited! Please get everyone to Save the Date!

As always, we will be selling baked goods, preserves, hand made gifts and more! Also, in October, we will be accepting donations for our White Elephant tables and donations for our raffle prizes. If you are getting rid of any new or gently used items (no clothing please) we will gladly accept your wares! Bring items to the activity office anytime! More info to come and Thank you for your support!

New Front Door System We have a new automated front door system here at Harrison Landing. If you or your guests enter the building after business hours (9-5), you may now come through both front doors rather than using the service door entry. Simply buzz our staff using the buzzer to the LEFT of the front door for access in. When staff answers and remotely lets you in, simply pass through both front doors (you have 10 seconds to open the second door) and sign in at the front desk as usual. When leaving, exit through the first door and use the intercom on your left and staff will open the second door remotely. Please do not allow others to come in with you as everyone needs to “be approved” by HL staff first. Thanks for helping us keep your home secure.

We are happy to tell you that Elections Canada will be bringing a polling station here to Harrison Landing on voting day for the 2019 Federal Election! Please exercise your right to

vote and join us on Monday, October 21st in the TV Lounge. (Watch for the time to be posted closer to the day.)

If you want to Meet the Candidates, there is an All Candidates Meeting at the Township of Langley Civic Facility (20339 65 Avenue) in the Fraser River Presentation Theatre on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 - 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Leon Jensen - Liberal Tako van Popta - Conservative Stacey Wakelin - NDP (New Democratic Party) Kaija Farstad - Green Natalie DiPietra-Cudmore - PPC (People’s Party of Canada) Alex Joehl - Libertarian

Who gets your

Vote?

Now that rainy, windy weather will be coming upon us, please ensure that you are prepared in the event of a temporary power outage, etc. Everyone should have the basics packed in a bag ready to go. Your emergency bag must contain a jacket, rubber soled shoes and a copy of your Emergency Card. We also suggest you have flashlights, extra batteries and battery operated lights available to use in your suites. Please note that we DO NOT allow candles to be used in the building. If the power does go out, we only have back up lights in the stairwells. You will need to supply your suites with light. We have a plan in place to deliver meals as no one will be able to use the elevators. Have no fear, all will be well when the bad weather hits. Please ensure that you are prepared as best you can and so will we! Thanks!
