You must present your membership card to obtain membership discounts.

Member tickets. Member tickets will be $6. That’s a 43% discount from the general admission price of $10.50. And membership entitles you to a $6 ticket at all Renew theaters (County, Ambler, Hiway, Garden) as well as at all participating “Art House Theaters” nationwide.

Why the price increase? Because our film distributors require it. Each movie that we screen is supplied by a film distributor. They share in our ticket revenues. In order to maintain our relationships with them, we must implement competitive price increases. Or they will not continue to supply us with their movies.

Effective January 1, 2015. We first announced this change in November of 2013 in our quarterly Previews Magazine, on-screen, and on our website. We delayed the change as long as we could, but it is finally time to implement it.

M A I N A T T R A C T I O N SMain AttractionsWhat main films will play at the Hiway? Predicting in advance what films will play at our beloved one-screen Hiway is the biggest challenge that we face. It is very hard to know ahead of time. The films listed here are an educated guess. Our website is always the best place to get up-to-the-minute information.Scheduling our main films is week-to-week. On Monday, we decide what main film will play starting that Friday. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we set the showtimes for the upcoming week and then update our website and telephone hotline. We also send out a weekly email (sign up at our website). Sometimes, we book a main film a few weeks in advance, which we post on our website. For our latest Main Attractions plans, visit: HiwayTheater.org. (Or call our Hotline at 267-864-0065) The Imitation Game

The Imitation Game UK - 1 hr 53 min - Morten Tyldum In THE IMITATION GAME, Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Alan Turing, the genius British mathematician, cryptologist, and computer scientist who led the charge to crack the German Enigma Code, which helped the Allies win WWII. But while leading his team of scholars and intelligence officers, Turing was hiding secrets of his own. This thrilling historical account also stars Keira Knightley and Matthew Goode.

The Theory of EverythingUK – 2 hr 3 min – James MarshEddie Redmayne gives a gripping per-formance as famous physicist Stephen Hawking in this stirring drama about his relationship with his wife Jane and their joint battle against his illness. As Hawk-ing’s ideas expand to encompass time and space, his physical abilities contract. This remarkable chronicle of one of the greatest minds of our time is also the story of two unstoppable spirits.

Wild USA - 1 hr 55 min - Jean-Marc Vallée Reese Witherspoon delivers one of the year’s best performances in this drama-tization of one woman’s solo 1,100-mile hike along the Pacific Crest Trail. At once an epic cinematic experience and a pro-foundly intimate personal narrative, WILD is an odyssey of loss and self-discovery. Jean-Marc Vallée (Dallas Buyers Club) directed this adaptation (by Nick Hornby) of Cheryl Strayed’s best-selling memoir.

Starring James Franco and Chris O’Dowd, it’s based on the best-selling novel, which Steinbeck adapted for the stage in 1937. The Hard Problem Acclaimed playwright Tom Stoppard returns to the National Theatre with his highly-anticipated new play, directed by Nicholas Hytner. A young psychology researcher at a neuroscience institute contemplates the troubling question: If there is nothing but matter, what is consciousness? Dear Friend of the Hiway Theater,

YOUR SUPPORT IS THE FOUNDATION OF OUR SUCCESS. Here is what some of you have said about us:

“Love the venue, the location, choice of films…and the theater is beautiful and convenient!”

“Through films, lectures, and other events, it brings a little bit of the larger world to our small community. I like being connected in that way.”

“At first it was a Christmas present. After that, it was my choice. I love the theater and the selection of films.”

“I enjoy the National Theatre Live. This venue provides access to stage performances that I otherwise would not be able to afford. Thank you!”

CHALLENGES FOR THE FUTURE. We finished the last fiscal year in the black and we are starting to have a small cushion of funds for emergency repairs to our classic 1913 theater. However, we still need to do window and roof repairs, as well as fixes to our HVAC units. We continue to need your support.

MAKE A TAX-DEDUCTIBLE GIFT TODAY. Your gift will help us to continue to run this great historic the-ater. Make your gift in one of two ways: (1) by mail, using the form below, or (2) online at HiwayTheater.org/donate.

THANK YOU for all of your support.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Wilt John TonerPresident Executive Director
