Grading SystemGrading for the IGCSE is from A* to G, with a letter grade of U awarded if a student fails to achieve the minimum level of performance. IBDP grading is scored on a scale of 1 (lowest) to 7 (highest) points with a further 3 points available based on a matrix of performance in the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge and CAS components. To earn the diploma, students must achieve a minimum of 24 points out of a possible 45. Examination results are available in early July following May examinations. A rigorous and fair process is followed to ensure that the predicted grades for university applications are appropriate and a fair representation of student performance. Due to small class sizes, and the wide variety of assessments that come to us from a transient, international population, Dulwich College Beijing does not rank students.
