King Hamad Hospital is located within the Kingdom of Bahrain and is a teaching hospital located adjacent to the Medical School (currently being constructed). Hiltron were appointed by Australian Hospital Design Company as medical equipment advisors to the Ministry of Works. Our role to provide :

Facilities at the Pontefract site include: A & E; radiology; an ambulatory and delivery maternity unit; a rehabilitation suite; a general outpatients department including adult and child outpatients, cardio-respiratory investigations and ENT; a day care unit (including renal dialysis and a day surgery with four theatres) and oncology; pharmacy, pathology and appropriate support.

Hiltron were appointed in 2005 as Technical Advisors to the Funders, lead by MacQuarie's Financial Services, for the Oxford Churchill PFI Project, a large £109M development principally focused on Oncology and related services, including 5 linear accelerators and extensive diagnostic imaging. The duties involved contractual advice to Funders, and presence in contract negotiations, advice during pre and actual construction and certification of payments against delivery/Installation/Commissioning of equipment, most of this equipment being supplied under a managed equipment contract. The project was completed in late 2008.

Hiltron were appointed as IM&T Advisors to the Board of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).

The QEH has approximately 600 beds and is the principal public hospital in Barbados and the only public facility offering specialist care, teaching and research. It is now governed by its own Board of Management.

This 15 Year PPP Contract includes provisions for complete IT and equipment refresh and a novel ‘State of the Art’ clause.

It was tendered, adjudicated and signed within 18 months and the hospital was functioning within 6 months of financial close.
