Hill Haven Farm is very pleased to invite you to our " 2013 SELECTIONS SALE " featuring some of the bestShorthorns we have raised. We strive to produce functional, phenotypical Shorthorns that can both compete inthe show ring and be productive for years to come.

We are most appreciative of our guest consignors for choosing their best for the sale and a special thank-youto Huberdale Farms who came from Saskatchewan to be a part of Hill Haven's sale.

Terms of the sale are cash or cheque in Canadian dollars, payableat the farm immediately following the close of the sale; priorarrangements must be made in order for purchases to be invoiced.

It is not necessary to attend the sale in order to participate inthe sale; if you cannot attend your bids will be handled in a pro-fessional manner; please contact the consignor or a LivestockRepresentative for assistance. All sale cattle are sound and in good health; all sale animals aswell as the consignors' respective entire herds of cattle are onannual vaccination programs including blackleg and all cattleare treated with Ivomec .

All open females are guaranteed to be breeders provided theydo not fail to breed due to injury or disease occurring afterpurchase; any female sold as open who fails to conceive to a bullmust be reported to the seller before she reaches 18 months ofage.

All females sold as bred have been pregnancy tested anddeclared by a vet to be safe in calf and a veterinarian’s certificatewill be available.

All bull calves are guaranteed to be breeders by the time theyreach 16 months of age or over provided they are free of illnessand injury and provided they are used on cows known to bebreeders; if a bull fails to breed cows after 16 months of age thematter must be reported to the seller before he reaches 20months of age.

All sale animals have been tested and are TH Free or aredeclared TH Free by pedigree.

All necessary health documents required for export to the USwill be provided by the seller at no cost to the buyer; the sellerwill facilitate all export arrangements on request.

At the buyer's request the seller will arrange to have cattledelivered to central points in the US or Canada for an amountnot to exceed $300 per lot. For further details on deliveryoptions please contact the consignor directly.

Each animal becomes the risk of the buyer as soon as sold.Purchased animals will be cared for by the sellers for a reason-able amount of time to be mutually agreed . Our bred heifers ran with this easy calving Angus bull, for one reason, the Shorthorn

Plus program. I’m a strong proponent of the Plus program for that it shows what the

breed can do in a crossbreeding program. I hope when you take these heifers home

and calve them out, your friends and neighbours can see what a Shorthorn F1 can do.

Here is an own daughter of our good old donor cow Cathy Joyful 46N. I have to

be honest with you, this bred heifer is one of our larger framed females, but so is

her dam who is one of our best cow families. So I took that into account when it

came to breeding season and chose JSF Capiche. Having said all of that, she is a

pretty female, clean and smooth through the front end, great shape in her ribs
