Since Hikvision was established, we have launched three generations of compression cards and three generations of network DVR, put forward DCIF resolution which suits the present digital surveillance, brought forward and realized the dynamic adjustment of code parameters and digital video frequency matrix and so on, as our products become more and more various. Network DVR

2002-5 Series of DS-8000 was released, which is based on MPEG-1 technology. Models are DS-8002 and DS-8004.

2003-3 Series of DS-8000MI was released, which used DSP of PHILIPS and was based on MPEG-4 compression algorithm. Models are：DS-8001MI, DS-8002MI, DS-8004MI, DS-8006MI, DS-8008MI and models specially designed for ATM monitoring: DS-8002AI, DS-8002ALI.

2003-11 Series of DS-8000MEI was released, which used DSP of PHILIPS and was based on MPEG-4 and H.264 compression algorithm, with models of：DS- 8001MEI, DS-8002MEI, DS-8004MEI, DS-8006MEI, DS-8008MEI, DS-8009MEI, DS-8010MEI, DS-8012MEI, DS-8016MEI.

2004-10 Series of DS-8000HCI was released, which used DSP of TI and was based on H.264 compression algorithm, with models of ： DS- 8001HCI, DS- 8002HCI, DS- 8003HCI, DS- 8004HCI, DS- 8005HCI, DS- 8006HCI, DS- 8008HCI, DS- 8009HCI, DS- 8010HCI, DS- 8012HCI, DS- 8014HCI and DS- 8016HCI. The following models are specially designed for ATM monitoring: DS-8002AHI, DS-8002AHLI.

DS-8000HTI：Each channel supports DCIF resolution code. Models are: DS-8002HTI, DS-8004HTI, DS-8006HTI, DS-8008HTI, DS-8010HTI, DS-8012HTI and DS-8016HTI.

DS-8000HSI：Each channel supports CIF resolution code, with video output central link, but no audio. And besides a video main output terminal, DS-8016HSI Ialso has 4 video auxiliary output terminals and matrix switching function. Models are: DS-8004HSI, DS-8009HSI and DS-8016HSI.

DS-8016HTSI：Each path supports DCIF resolution code, with video output central link, but no audio. Model is: DS-8016HTSI.

DS-8000HFI：Each path supports D1 resolution code. Models are：DS-8002HFI, DS-8004HFI, DS-8006HFI, DS-8008HFI and DS-8009HFI.

DS-8004AHI, DS-8004AHLI：Exclusive ATM monitor, supporting 4 paths of video and audio input.

In August, 2004, DS-6000HCI and DS-6000HFI were released, using DSP of TI. The

product code is based on H.264 compression algorithm. The models are: DS-6001HCI, DS-6002HCI, DS-6004HCI, DS-6001HFI, and DS-6002HFI.

In 2005, DS-6000FI, DS-6000DI and other DVS and CODECs were released, using DSP of TI and H.264 compression algorithm. The models are: DS-6001FI, DS-6001DI.

In 2006, DS-6000HC-ATA and DS-6000HF-ATA were released, using DSP of TI and based on H.264 compression algorithm. The models are: DS-6001HCI-ATA, DS-6002HCI-ATA, DS-6004HCI-ATA, DS-6001HFI-ATA and DS-6002HFI-ATA.

In 2007, serial video servers of DS-6100HCI, DS-6100HFI, DS-6100HCI-ATA and DS-6100HFI-ATA were released, using Davinci chip of TI and based on H.264 compression algorithm. The models are: DS-6101HCI, DS-6102HCI, DS-6104HCI, DS-6101HFI, DS-6102HFI, DS-6101HCI-ATA, DS-6102HCI-ATA, DS-6104HCI-ATA, DS-6101HFI-ATA and DS-6102HFI-ATA.

At the beginning of April, 2002, series of DS-4000MI was released, based on MPEG-4 ACE

compression algorithm, using DSP of PHILIPS, models are：DS-4001MI, DS-4001S, DS-4002MI, DS-4002SI, DS-4004MI DS-4004SI, DS-4004DI.

At the end of March, 2003, series of DS-4000HI was released, based on H.264 compression algorithm, using DSP of PHILIPS. There are totally 6 models：DS-4001HI, DS-4001HSI, DS-4002HI, DS-4002HSI, DS-4004HI and DS-4004HSI.

At the end of February, 2004, series of DS-4000HC was released, based on H.264 compression algorithm, using DSP of TI. The models are：DS-4004HCI, DS-4008HCI, DS-4002MDI and DS-4004MDI.

In November, 2005, series of DS-4000HCI+ was released, based on H.264 compression algorithm, using DSP of TI with advanced performance. The models are：DS-4004HCI+ and DS-4008HCI+.

In October, 2006, series of DS-4000HFI was released, based on H.264 compression algorithm, using DSP of TI. The model is：DS-4008HFI.

In April, 2007, series of DS-4000HS was released, based on H.264 compression algorithm, using DSP of TI. The models are：DS-4008HSI and DS-4016HSI.

Hardware architecture

The hardware architecture of network DVR includes the following processing units: video and audio sampling module, video and audio compression module, video and audio preview module, video and audio playback module, recording module, network module, alarm input and output module, and human-machine interface module etc. The following is a typical sketch map of the physical structure of a network DVR, which includes the compression module, preview module, recording module (hard disk controller) and the main control module. The data between modules are transmitted through the PCI internal bus.

Description for technical terms

DCIF The standard 2CIF (704 * 288, also known as Half D1) resolution has doubled the level of

CIF (352 * 288) in horizontal direction, while remains the same in vertical direction. The display ratio, which we are used to, is 4: 3, however. Thus the zooming of images in both horizontal and vertical directions will lead to visual imbalance.

If we use an odd HALF D1 and an even HALF D1 to form a D1 format after anti-interlaced transformation, with a 3/4 reduction in horizontal and a 2/3 reduction in vertical, the D1 format will be transformed to 528*384, whose pixel number is precisely twice of CIF format （352*288）. In order to be different from the commonly-called 2CIF, we call it DOUBLE CIF, or DCIF for short. Obviously, in both horizontal and vertical directions, DCIF is more balanced than Half D1, and it has better resolution in both directions than CIF.

After testing a large number of video signals, DCIF（528*384）can solve the not clear problem of CIF and large stream data problem of D1 based on the current video compression algorithm, and acquire stable, high-quality image with bit rate between 512K－1M. H.264

There are 2 international standardization organizations for video and audio coding. One is VCEG（Video Coding Experts Group）under the ITU-T, which promoted the development of video and audio coding technology; and the other is MPEG（Moving Picture Experts Group）under the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which promoted the video and audio CODECs to wider applications.

After releasing the H.263 compression standard in 1997, VCEG formulated a short-term development plan for H.26N and a long-term development plan for H.26L, and H.26N was then developed into H.263+ and H.263++. After VCEG released H.263, MPEG released the MPEG-4 SP version.

In the fourth quarter of 2001, as VCEG H.26L was developed into TML9.0, MPEG and VCEG formed the joint video team (JVT) to improve and optimize the H.26L algorithm. In May, 2003, VCEG released the H.264 compression standard, which was adopted into MPEG-4 standard and released as part 10 of MPEG-4（PART10 based on the revision of compression algorithm done by JVT by MPEG . It is the AVC version of MPEG-4. H.264 and MPEG-4 AVC represent the latest researching result in the field of video and audio codecs. FAT32

FAT32 (File Allocation Table for full name) is a kind of file allocation table with cluster counts held in a 4-byte (32-bit) field. For the FAT32 subarea format, each cluster is fixed at 4 KB,

thus greatly reduces the waste of disk space and improves the utilization of the disk.

S.M.A.R.T Stand for “Self－Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology”. This technology was

officially established in ATA－3 standard, and has been supported by all the hard disk manufacturers.

S.M.A.R.T. can monitor heads, disks, motors, circuits, etc. The monitoring software in the PC analyzes and compares the operation of the monitored objects with their historical records and preset safety values. When the situation is out of the security range, it will send warning messages to users automatically.

Through S.M.A.R.T., locationential failure of hard disks can be predicted effectively to enhance the security of data.

Dynamic adjustment of encoding parameters

The adjusted coding parameter can take effect at once without pausing or restarting network transmitting and recording.

In surveillance system, for static monitoring scene, video can be recorded in low bit rate through reducing resolution, image quality, bit rate and frame rate, while changing of images require higher resolution , bit rate and frame rate of video, etc to get high quality video stream. Since the above parameters can be dynamically modified, continuous images can be maintained without switching files frequently. And it does not only meet the requirement of high-quality images at critical moments, but also save the disk space and network bandwidth.

Resolution

Resolution types include display resolution, image resolution and pixel resolution. Display resolution is the largest area shown on the screen in particular display mode, in

representation of horizontal and vertical pixels. Image resolution refers to the size of digital image, also represented by horizontal and

vertical pixels. If the image resolution is bigger than display resolution, then some images can’t be

displayed. Pixel resolution refers to a ratio of pixel’s width and length. Different ratio will cause the

deformation of images. Common Image resolution modes in digital surveillance are： PAL mode：QCIF（174*144）,CIF（352*288）,2CIF（704*288）,DCIF（528*384）and

4CIF（704*576）. NTSC mode：QCIF（174*120）,CIF（352*240）,2CIF（704*240）,DCIF（528*320）and

4CIF（704*480）. Common display resolutions of VGA monitor： 640*480,800*600, 1024*768, etc.

Face Detection

It is a technology of filtering the face from images. Face Detection is different from face recognition. The achieving objectives of the former are: to find out if there are faces, and how many and where they are if the answer is yes；while the goal of the latter is to find out whose face it is in the image. Therefore, with face detection, face recognition systems can be achieved and then applied to janitors, attendance, security checks (for airports, meetings and grand recreational activities), public security, urban monitoring, etc.

Dual Stream

It means a channel of video images passing through the video coder, and output 2 independent bit streams as shown in the figure:

The resolution, frame rate, bit rate and other parameters of output bit stream can be set

independently. The output dual steam can meet different demands, for example, one for hard disk storage and the other for network transmission. Watermark technology

It means to embed hidden information in digitalized multimedia files by signal processing technology. Such marks are usually invisible, and can only be extracted by specially designed detectors to get the purpose of copyright protection.

Definition of watermark：Operational actions of embedding information into files without being recognized

Watermarking system is composed by embedding devices and detection devices, as shown in the figure.

Vector works, watermark-embedding devices, information of watermark, watermark works,

watermark detection devices, detected information of watermark There were two inputs on the embedding device: one is the information for encoding to

watermark, and the other is the carrier works for embedding the watermark. Usually the output of watermark embedding device will be transmitted and recorded, and if you input the watermarked file into watermark detection device, then most detectors will detect whether there is a watermark, and output the information of encoded watermark.

Applications of watermark technology in the surveillance applications：Content authentication, that is to embed signature information into the content for future checkings to find out whether the content has been modified. Here is the content referring to video data.

The application of most watermarks can be completed by other techniques, but the real watermark has 3 advantages compared with the others：

It can’t be perceived. It won’t disappear when the works are displayed. The watermark and the embedded files experience the same transformation all the

times. Transparent channel A technology to transmit IP directly to serial interface after analyzing. Actually, it extends the

control range of the serial equipment. And it can control several kinds of serial equipments through IP network control, e.g., decoder, matrix, alarm device, door access, instruments and other serial equipments. Users can simply check the point-to-point transmission without paying attention to the network transmission process, so it is called transparent channel.

Document fragments

When a document is recorded and scattered in the discontinuous clusters, the content in the discontinuous clusters is called document fragments. When contents of the documents in the hard disk were repeatedly deleted and written, document fragments appear easily, and increase the

seeking delay and rotation delay of the hard disk, and then affect its efficiency and life-span. If the document is defined beforehand and pre-assigned to consecutive clusters, the

production of document fragments can be completely avoided. Circulating records and non-circulating record

Circulating records is a recording method to cover the original video data automatically without replacing hard disk when the program finds all the DVR’s hard disk is full.

Non-circulating record is a recording method to make the DVR stop recording when all its hard disk is full. In this way, the hard disk must be renewed or treated (backup the video data and then formatting) to continue the recording process. Motion detection

A technique determines whether there is a change between video scenes by analyzing video images.

Object movements, lightening changes and other factors are all considered as changes of the scene. Frame types

It can form 64-channel decoding system, and support 32-channel analogue video output at the same time. It can also form flexible models of video output by different screen dividing.

Remote network terminal can adopt PC-DVR consisted of Hikvision H card and HC cards, or Hikvision embedded DVR/DVS.

More explanations for digital video matrix 1. Definition of video channel

The system consisted of Hikvision compression card is divided into 3 layers：compression card, DSP and channels.

1) Compression card：Card is the basic unit of Hikvision products, and different card types contain different numbers of DSP and channels.

2) DSP：Most functions of system are realized by DSP. There may be several channels in ait, and all the channels share the source of this DSP. For the customers, DSP is transparent because most functions of system are realized in the unit of channels, and the

application procedures need not to consider the existence of DSP. 3) channel： Channel is the unit for realizing system functions. Most functions are realized

in the unit of channel, while most API controlled objects in SDK are also channels. The current system consists of HC cards and MD cards has 3 channel types: a) encoding channel：For real-time video, local preview, etc. b) decoding channel：For real-time playback, document playback, etc. c) display channel：For analog video output. Display channel, which is a channel type

appearing with the release of MD cards, is the core of realizing video matrix and multi-window output.

2. Requirements of video matrix on window size

All windows must be aligned by 16(x,w) in horizontal direction, and 8(y,h) in the vertical direction. Besides, if the size of the display window is not equal to the size of image source, zoom ratio should meet certain requirements to display correctly. Otherwise, the image will be dislocated, even fails to display.

For real-time image collected by HC cards：the size of original image is 704×576（PAL）or 704×480（NTSC）.

For images decoded by MD cards: the size of original image is its actual resolution. Current supported zoom ratio： 1) horizontal

※ 3. Restrictions on matrix output because of bus bandwidth

The maximum of video matrix will be limited by bus bandwidth： The theoretical bandwidth of PCI 2.2 bus is 266MByte/s（66MHz×32bit/8）, and the matrix

output of each channel takes 704*576*25 *1.5=15M Bytes/s, while 8-channel video output is 120M Bytes/s, which is close to 50% of the top limitation. But the actual working bandwidth of PCI is less than 266M, and the influence of other factors in the system must be considered, e.g. network, hard disks, etc. If the bus bandwidth is limited, the output of matrix will be affected,

then the image vibrates or it lost frames. Image display in the adaptor (the preview of encoding images and playback of decoding

images) will greatly affect the performance of matrix. In the matrix consisted of HC card and MD, image data are efficiently transmitted as HC card →MD card or MD card →MD card. But when displayed in adaptors with the restriction of its performance, the efficiency of data transmission will be decreased drastically, and then affect the performance of matrix indirectly. Therefore, in the matrix system, it is advised to use the screen display only as a platform for controlling, and stop the image display on the monitor when outputting matrix to enhance the performance of matrix.

Frame loss will occur if HC card or MD card are preceding complex work of encoding and decoding when outputting matrix at the same time or the channels and resolution of images output were set too high, e.g. using 4 channels of a HC card to output 4CIF matrix at the same time or encoding high-resolution (such as 4CIF) or complex images. It is advised to complete the complex missions by cards, and keep a balance of workload between the cards.

Although decoded images of MD cards can be output to any MD to display, but it is still advised to give priority to output the decoded images to the current MD cards if possible (then it is not SetDecoderVideoExtOutput, but SetDecoderVideoOutput to be used). Since images are displayed inside the MD card, the efficiency and process of playback will be enhanced, and the occupation of bus bandwidth can be avoided.

4. Typical screen-dividing mode supported by MD cards

The following diagram is a picture of several common screen-dividing mode：

For the windows dividing, as long as the window size meets the requirements, users can divided it in any way. The list above is just the simplest situation.

When doing 4-channel playback with MD card, 2 of the video output channels can be set with reference to the 5th situation in the above figure: dividing the screen into 4 and displaying the 4-channel playback images with one channel, and output full screen with the other channel for displaying important images or images with high resolution.

Sub channel displaying is supported in any screen dividing mode, which can be moved as long as it is within the range of 4CIF.

Digital video local surveillance

The demonstration of local surveillance of the network DVR based on DS-8000HC

Audio pickup device; 1-8 large-capacity hard disk can be built in ; 485 control signals; video

signals; video camera; voice intercom; monitor; loudspeaker box; USB backup device; display; control keyboard; public/specific network; alarm output; alarm input; serial devices

VOUT connected with monitors（or VGA connected with display）for local preview. There are 4 IDE interfaces inside to connect with 8 IDE hard disks (or external warehouse

store), each of whose maximum capacity is 2TB for local recording. USB works as the backup interface for recording files. Every operation and control can be realized with the front panel or remote control, or be

operated with the network keyboard which is connected with keyboard interface. Local function achieved by monitoring locations Local surveillance and monitoring The resolution of previewed images is 4CIF（704*576）, and there are 1/4/10/16-screen

previewing mode , all available for automatic cycling display , which can be switched manually with the front panel , remote control or the network keyboard. It can also choose audio of any channel for preview.

Local recording Compressed stream is recorded in the local disk. Cycling recording and non-cycling

recording are optional. Operating mode of timed record, triggered recording by alarm signals and motion

detection-triggered signals, and the manual stop or start of video are also available. Each mode provides pre-record and delayed record.

According to the scene, the video parameters of each channel can be set up, including resolution, frame rate, stream types (VBR, CBR), size of bit stream, and the quality of images, etc.

The required hard disk space is constant if CBR is chosen; and if VBR is chosen, when there’re no significant movements in the current image, disk space will be saved.

The needed hard disk space is decided by the size of bit rate, time length of video and the number of channels for each device. The referenced method for calculating is listed as follow (suppose the bit rate of each channel is the same)：

Capacity （ GB ） = bit rate/8×time for preserving record files × number of channels/1024/1024

Local playback The playback resolution is as same as the resolution of image resolution. Video search conditions：Channel, time and video types; it can support 2-channel synchronic

playback. Operations of playback：Multi-level rapid/ slow display, forward, backward and playback

frame by frame. Local control Decoder connected with RS-485 serial interfaces is controlled by PTZ through the front

panel or remote control or remote keyboard. There are multiple decoders protocols inside. Such as YouLi, LinLin-1016, LinLin-820, Pelco-p, DM DynaColor, HD600, JC-4116, Pelco-d WX, Pelco-d, VCOM VC-2000, NetStreamer, SAE, SAMSUNG, KALATEL-KTD-312, CELOTEX, TL Pelco-p, TLHHX-2000, BBV, RM110, KC3360S, ACES, ALSON, INV3609HD, Howell, Tc Pelco p , Tc Pelco D , etc(up to 60 kinds).

Support setup and using of location preset, cruise and track, etc of speed dome. Alarm linkage It can support up to 16-channel on-off alarm inputs, and 4-channel on-off alarm outputs at

most. It also supports the setup of guarding and withdrawal, external output, external record, switching of external alarm scenes to output to local monitor (or VGA display), external location preset, cruise and using tracks.

Local backup Backup devices：USB flash memory, USB HDD, USB CD-R/W. It can wholly backup the files in devices according to time sections or channel numbers, and

it can also record the video fragments in the device during the playback process.

Network remote monitoring

Network remote monitoring breaks through the geographical restrictions through IP network , and achieves remote access and control. According to the way of access, it is divided into 2 types as follow：

Basic requirements for IP remote monitoring： Video encoding devices (such as network DVR, DVS, etc.) have network interface and

network functions, including inputs and outputs of video and audio data, alarm and control signals. For the final users, application software for remote access is needed; and for the developers,

a development kit for remote monitoring is needed, which includes software interfaces to achieve the functions of remote monitoring.

The basic functions of remote monitoring are listed as below.

Remote surveillance It can display one or more camera images with divided screen

(e.g.1/4/6/8/9/10/11/13/14/16/17/19/22/25 diving screen, audio monitoring of a channel is available, and the divided screen isn’t confined to the ordinary rectangular segmentation). Images can be manually switched for viewing, or cruise automatically; the brightness, contrast, saturation, hue and other parameters are all adjustable.

Remote monitoring has two modes: one is to view devices though the table of added equipment channels, and the other is to check them by forming groups flexibly according to the needing.

Images can be output to VGA display devices with software decoding; while through hardware decoding video can be output to the monitor, and each channel of video output can be processed with screen-dividing with maximum number of 16 channels.

Remote control It can control PTZ and other auxiliary equipment, such as windscreen wiper, lightness, etc. It can control the other front equipments, such as matrix, alarm controller, janitors, switches,

etc; and receive data from serial equipments through the transparent channels. The premise is to build up the physical connection between the front equipments and monitoring device which supports transparent channels.

Document playback 3 playback modes 1) local playback：playback of local recorded files； 2) remote playback：Playback of recorded files in the DVR, which is so-called video on

demand function (VOD), and it can playback up to 4 channels of video and audio record at the same time.

3) Image playback：Playback of image files in the local hard disks, which are from

captured images of client software. Video playback has the operational functions of rapid display, slow display, display frame by

frame, and image capturing, etc. User management It has the function of user management, which is responsible for the setup of user access right

levels to the equipment by channels. Remote download The aim of download is for remote backup of local recorded files to enhance the safety. Remote configuration Without being at the scene, the administrator can set up and modify the parameters of the

network DVR, and update its application programs. Therefore, the remote maintenance is achieved to reduce the cost.

Electronic map function It can add a corresponding electronic map according to the needs, and maps are available for

multi-nesting and supporting reminder of hot alarm. Auxiliary functions of remote monitoring Voice talk, voice broadcasting, etc. Operating environment of customer terminal software： Software environment：Windows2000 Professional or XP； Hardware environment：CPU/P4,RAM256MB, HD/more than 20GB, video card supports zooming （ recommended ： Geforce Mx400/420/440 serials or ATI Radeon 7000/7200/7500/8500/9000 serials）. Explanations of client software versions： DVRDVSv3.6：support the products of DS-8000 series（DS-8000ME NOT included）and

DS-6000 series. It has 2 versions, in which there is version 3.6 that only supports decoding output of MD cards. So if decoding with D cards, version 3.6 that supports hardware decoding of D card is needed.

DVRDVSv4.0：supports the products of DS-8000 series（including DS-8000ME）, DS-6000 series, video and audio stream and output of hardware decoding of MD card and D card.

2． Digital network remote video monitoring system, which is consisted of Hikvision

built-in network of DVRDS-8000 series, video server of DS-6000 series and website browser By typing the IP address or corresponding domain name of DVR/DVS device into address

bar of browser, and the browser will download ActiveX from the device automatically, with which the access and control to a remote device will be available.

After logging in the device though the browser, the same remote operations as the customer

terminal can be achieved. For the final users, access through browser can expand the network monitoring to the desktop;

and for the integration developers, the secondary development based on SDK to create stylized interface and network surveillance of B / S structure will be available.

Middleware of network surveillance

Analysis of network surveillance demands： The network trend of digital surveillance is quite obvious now. The video surveillance based

on the network has broken the restriction of time, area, and the system of network surveillance can be built up wherever the network exists. And the authorized users can use the surveillance functions at any time without domain restriction. But in the current network surveillance, there are several problems as follows:

1．Diversity of network types and accessing ways for surveillance device dramatically increase the complexity of the design and development of network surveillance systems.

2．For public network applications, it’s hard to deploy the resource. The operability of current port mapping or domain address in the actual situation is poor, and the biggest problem is address searching and connecting of equipments.

3．With various and flexible demands of customers, there are heavy load on product developers and servicing staffs. There are many software versions yet no united platform to support the development, and there are lots of worthless working duplications. And without systematic planning, software quality is not good.

4．The technical threshold of software development for large centralized surveillance system is quite high, and not many companies own the ability to develop high-quality surveillance software of system-level. All of this problems has blocked the development of market. Therefore, the development of software for surveillance systems is calling for a new, standardized and open development model.

5．Some common services (such as video and audio stream transmitting, VOD, centralized storage, etc.) have no actual standards to follow, and there are lots of repeated development and investment. And the quality of software can’t be assured efficiently. Features of network middleware:

We believe that the process of digital monitoring network is a process of being platformed.

With this understanding, we have proposed a conception of security network middleware (platform) to serve the secondary development and construction of network surveillance system. Network middleware provides abstracted packing to the functions of equipment and standard server platform to help building network surveillance system fast and conveniently. The network surveillance middleware has the following attributes：

1．It provides reasonable packing for video surveillance equipments, and rich functional modules to reduce the time of application product development. With good adaptability, the middleware can meet the needs of both large centralized monitoring system and prompt constructing of simple monitoring software.

2．Apart from the direct model, it also provides surveillance equipments registration service model to suit the multi-location-and-large-scale surveillance applications; Middleware solves internally the cross-gateway/ firewall support, and it adapts to the application in complex network environment.

3．Middleware provides common standard servers, including video and audio streams transmitting server, centralized storage server, etc. 4．The platform structure of middleware is reasonable. The weak coupling between modules facilitates the combination use, and it has strong equipment types expandability and deployment flexibility；

5．The expanded design based on the equipment plug-ins and display plug-ins enables the maximum protection of application development results. Besides, new platform modules can be added easily. Block diagram of network middleware system：
