Our MissiOn

“Providing community resources to help Highline Public Schools succeed”

“In 2012, the

Foundation will

surpass the

$2 million

mark in funding

to our district.”

The Highline Schools Foundation was founded in 1999 by a group of parents and community members with

the foresight to ensure that the quality education that their children were receiving would be sustained. The

Highline Schools Foundation is the only nonprofit organization serving all students in the Highline School

District. We strive to bridge the gap between what the State

of Washington provides our District and what our public

schools need to provide our students with a well-rounded

quality education. In 2012, the Foundation will surpass the

$2 million mark in funding to our district. The money we

raise will go directly to our district and the students in our

community for critical areas of need—classroom enrich-

ment, technology, arts, athletics, college scholarships, and

outreach to our neediest of students and their families.

During these difficult economic times, when local, state and federal govern-

ment budgets are stressed, supporting our public school district and investing

in the future of our children is more important than ever. The Foundation plays

a special role in supporting public education by enabling our school district

and its teachers to get what is needed to help our students learn to their

highest capability. Your generous support enables the Foundation to make a

positive impact on every child’s education here in our community.

The Foundation Board would like to thank all of our donors, sponsors, and

community advocates for your generosity and commitment, as well as all of

our volunteers and school partners for your tireless efforts. Your support truly

makes a difference for every school in the District, every day.

Sincerely,

The Highline Schools Foundation Board of Trustees
