Highlights from November

This month we were able to sit down and video chat with missionaries already working in Győr, and our kids were able to ask them all sorts of questions. They discovered there is a great zoo in Győr, and that the oldest zoo in the world is not far away – in Vienna! They also learned there is a giant Lake (Balaton) only about 2 hrs south, where many people go swimming. We were excited to hear all that God is already doing in Hungary – and it was good for the girls to hear why others are excited for us to arrive!

They've definitely not pressed “Pause”, as they look forward to us coming! From Gerry McNamara's recent post:

“We have more and more people coming to worship regularly and they are also bringing friends and family with them. MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) is growing significantly, with up to ten young mums present on each occasion. The ladies coffee morning has had as many as twelve women present when they meet and is helping to bring women closer to God and to have a place where they can discuss significant issues in their lives. We now have two Bible study groups, one in English and one in Hungarian and are grateful that God is raising up local leaders who are taking responsibility to lead. Our high school program has as many as twenty-five teenagers coming together! We also continue our ministry in the orphanage and had a great VBS there in July. We also continue to offer counseling for those experiencing marriage difficulties and for others who are struggling with problems, such as mental health issues.” Even more recently, they helped deliver a brand new washing machine, and 400 Christmas shoeboxes to a ministry in Arad, Romania! Please continue to pray for the McNamara's as they minister actively today, even as we're excited to join together in 2019!

November was quite a month for us, and we're thankful for all the ways you've held us in prayer, and encouraged us along the way! We've spoken at Greenville St. Paul's FMC, Mattoon FMC, LaFarge, WI FMC, and finally Columbus FMC in Indiana. We were also able to visit with some of the Free Methodist Headquarters staff in Indianapolis, as we stayed with Chadwick's brother over Thanksgiving. Time after time, we're so thankful for the loving welcome that has been shown to our family, and the faithful prayers of those who've joined our team along the way.

Visiting the Free Methodist World Ministries Center   We have a pretty full travel schedule from now until the end of February, but would love YOUR HELP in connecting with a few more churches who might be interested. Because we only have a few open spots left, we're especially looking for churches that might consider becoming monthly supporters as we head into our full-time missions work in Hungary. If you know of anyone, please contact them first, and then message us together with an introduction. It would be a huge blessing to fill our final dates with potential new connections & opportunities to share what God is doing!
