We are already into our 5th week of school... wow!! As I reflect back on all that our students have done in those first weeks, I am amazed to see how many different ways God has revealed Himself to us. Different events that jump out at me are; the 1,200 people singing and worshiping together at Convocation on opening day, the joy and fun the middle school students had at the middle school pool party, the amazing challenges the 7th graders overcame at Camp ID-RA-HA-JE, the 5th graders leading chapel and the great fellowship at Dads and Donuts, etc. Not only has God revealed himself to us through the activities we have participated in, but God also reveals himself to us through his creation. As it is written in Romans 1:20, "For God's invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made." May God reveal himself to you today.

Join us for an evening of great food, fellowship and family fun! Wristbands will allow for admission to all activities at least once, including the photo booth. Wristbands will be available at the door for $15 for 1-2 and $10 for more than two per family. Tickets for additional visits to some of the activities will be available for purchase at the door. There will be an additional cost for Olebollen and cotton candy. Booster Club will be selling hot dogs, chili and burritos in the concession stand at the stadium. Cost for dinner will be $3.00-$4.00. Faith Family Chapel Book Drive Wednesday, Sept. 26 Can you imagine not having a single book to read at home? For many students this is a reality. Our first Faith Family Chapel of the year will be September 26th at 8:10am. For this chapel we will be having a book drive for Westside Elementary. Please bring in new or gently used books for ages Kindergarten through sixth grade reading levels. Books in Spanish are also appreciated. Students may bring in books for donation anytime between now and next Wednesday.

Volunteer Opportunity Our school offers a great hot lunch program. The success of this program depends upon parent (and grandparent) volunteers. We need people who would be able to hand out pre-labeled lunches 11:30–1:05 Mondays, every other Tuesday, or two Fridays a month. Want to learn more about Scrip? Meet the Scrip team in the computer lab for a Scrip Demo. The Scrip Team will show you tips and trick of the Scrip program. We will show you how to sign up for PrestoPay, how to purchase regular Scrip cards and Scrip Now, and how to reload cards. See You at the Pole™, the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with ten students praying at their school. Twenty years later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September.

See You at the Pole™ is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. See You at the Pole™ is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event.

“The Wonderful Wizard of OZ”

What is KidStage?

KidStage is a theatre and acting class for kids! The curriculum includes concentration, teamwork, improvisation, movement, voice and basic theatre terminology. At the end of the class, KidStage kids will perform for peers and parents and run the show on stage and off! All classes are taught by trained instructors, whose goal it is to teach your child about the excitement of theatre, improve your child’s self-confidence, and to provide a safe, fun and interesting environment for each student. KidStage will strengthen your child’s confidence and ability to speak and perform in front of others, as well as build teamwork, leadership, reading, and vocabulary! Who is this class for?

This class is appropriate for experienced students as well as beginning students. Kids must take the time outside of class to memorize their lines. What is the Production?

Put on your ruby slippers because we're not in Kansas anymore! Dorothy and her beloved dog Toto find themselves journeying along the yellow brick road after meeting the Munchkins and Glenda the Good Witch upon their very dramatic arrival in Oz! On her journey to see the Wizard (and hopefully return home to Kansas) she meets the Scarecrow, the Lion, and the Tin Man who are all on quests of their own to get to the Wizard to fulfill their dreams. Together they fight back against the Wicked Witch of the West and her rather hilarious Fling Monkeys to reach the Emerald City! What if I have questions about the class?
