Thank You From The Family of Mary Lee Cowley

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support over the past year for Mary Lee. Cards, phone calls and visits were always so appreci-ated by Mom. We are blessed to have such a loving, supportive and faithful Church family. The family of Mary Lee Cowley

Thank You From The Family of Thomas Begg

Dear Friends at HPC, Thank you so very much for the cards received dur-ing Tom’s illness - he was so thankful and amazed to receive them. I know some came to the wake and ser-vice but failed to “sign in,” which is heartbreaking to me as I would have loved to know you were there. I may have seen you and said “Hi” - but I don’t re-member! Enclosed is a program and “bio” that were available. Maybe there are some who would enjoy the read. Blessings to all, Karen

Amazing...Spinach but not so, Radishes

Some Community Garden Project harvests have proved more successful than others as a result of vari-ations in weather and gardening practices. When the radishes or onions prove too hot or otherwise unappe-tizing, consumers are encouraged to “even out “ their very generous donations for the next veggie that looks appealing—and to give feedback. Not all tastes are the same! Also, anyone who stops by the HPC gardens and needs, say, lettuce for a salad or a few green onions, should feel free to help yourself to the picking pro-cess. Far better it is to have a timely harvest than to let good food grow old. Our honor system has not failed in the seven years of the Garden Project!

New in the Library

A unique addition to our library is the complete li-bretto and accompanying CD of the musical Hamil-ton. Anyone who intends to see the production (or would like to listen again and see words not quite un-derstood during the show) can borrow and enjoy at leisure at home this recording and script. Background information on the creation of the musical, the actors and on the subject matter of the play are included.

If you should be in need of a pastoral care visit and/or communion for a home-bound member, please contact the church office at 708-246-1911, or Dr. Kay 217-370-5428.
