We welcom ed new m em bers at HP 101 on May 7. They w il l be int roduced t o our church fam ily on June 11:

Josh & Maggie Seym our and their 3 children, Hannah, Judah & Ephraim (Maggie, who grew up at HP, is the daughter of Mike & Jan Pr ide.)

Evan King (Evan was part of our HP Youth while he was in High School.)

PJ & Alex Corbit t (PJ was baptized on April 9th! The Corbitts are newlyweds, married Memorial Day weekend!)

Gary & Alice Chapm an have a new granddaughter! Maelyn Mar ie Brown is the daughter of St ephanie & Jordan Brown. She was born on May 10th and weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces.

We extend our love and sympathy to John Pit ezel and his family on the death of John?s mother, Bill ie Pit ezel. She died on Tuesday, May 23, and her funeral

service was at Highland Park on May 31.

Carm en Lank ford (former member) passed away May 9 in Joplin. A private graveside service was held on Saturday, May 13.

Our New Neighbors at Legacy Plaza In last month?s HP Herald, we talked about our ?new neighbors? who have or will be moving into the old Dollar Thrifty property. This was purchased by the Zarrow Family Foundations and will house five Tulsa non-profit organizations when the renovations are completed.

Plans call for our new neighbors to include: The Mental Health Association of Oklahoma, CAP Tulsa (Community Action Project of Tulsa County), LIFE Senior Services, The Oklahoma Center for Non-Profits, and The Assistance League of Tulsa.

The new ?Vintage Housing? complex (part of LIFE Senior Services) which will be to our immediate west will likely be the last project to be completed with no firm date available now. This will eventually be built in the space we currently are allowed to use for parking on the west side of our Worship Center.

With that need in mind, our task force consisting of Heidi Wallace, St eve Taylor , Fred Boyd, Kevin Sac, Don Bugh, Cody Blair , Joe Har t , Alan Mor t on, and John Pit ezel recommended several ?next steps? to the Elders. The first step is hiring Wallace Engineering to serve as our ?Land Use Planner? to lead us through changes Highland Park needs to make regarding our zoning. At the May Elders' meeting, the Elders gave the go-ahead to enlist Wallace Engineering in that capacity.

Here are three important items that the HP family needs to lift in our prayers: (1) That we will be ?good neighbors? to these fine organizations; (2) That the rezoning process will go smoothly; and (3) For the wisdom to make wise choices as we deal with future parking needs.

Our Needs for June:
