As a Selangor State Government’s wholly owned-university, Universiti Selangor always provide the best service on par with other international universities. Indeed, this healthier progress is the result of the outpouring of knowledge which refers to the provision of comprehensive and systematic training and implementation of industry experience during lecture session for all graduates.

Universiti Selangor (UNISEL), formerly known as Universiti Industri Selangor was established on 23 August 1999.

Currently operating at two campuses;

Main Campus in Bestari Jaya and the City Campus in Shah Alam.

Unisel establishment is in line with the State Government's intention to make Selangor the leading regional education hub.

Selangor should play a more active role in the delivery of higher education programs to enhance the development of human capital excellence. As the seventh institution of higher learning (IPTS) in Malaysia, Unisel is unique as it is Malaysia's first state-owned university.
