THE RIGHT INGREDIENTS FOR SUCCESS
Capability
The Tsugami VA2 vertical machining center is built for high accuracy and high speed and is ideal for applications that require small tools and fast cycle times. With 30,000 rpm capabilities and a chip-to-chip time of 1.35 seconds this is the perfect solution for your small part production.
Flexibility
The Tsugami VA2’s space saving design features a 3-axis compact base with a long Z-axis stroke. The 14 pocket side mount tool changer and 20 taper integral spindle are both mounted on the Z-axis, allowing you to tool change right above the work piece. Loading and unloading tools can be done from the front of the machine, without the need to load through the spindle.
Reliability
The Tsugami VA2 is a high speed and high accuracy compact vertical machining center with long stroke built to last. This 20 taper machine’s rigid base casting coupled with a 12 horsepower, integral spindle makes it a production ready power house.

VA2 High Speed Vertical Machining Center
“We’ve seen greatly increased productivity and accuracy of our components. Our B0326-II is presently operating at full capacity 24/7 producing a highly complex part. We love the fact that we save material on the bar ends since the machine operates as a chucker and there is no need to use ground stock. Plus, the controls are easy to operate and we are able to run the machine on an unattended extended shift.”
PATRICIA HIRSCHOwner, Honor Med Maskiner Corp. | Elgin, IL
“One of the things that we’ve liked about Tsugami machines is that they give us the ability to run overnight, which has greatly reduced our costs and overhead in the business. What it has done for us is allowed us to go from two shifts down to one shift. We now run 4 days a week, only 8 hours a day, as opposed to 2 shifts, 10 hours a day, 4 days a week. ”
