Students interested in schools with dual admission are to apply through the TACHS process and not as an independent school. Some schools hold their own scholarship tests. Contact them directly for this information. If your child is considering applying to private schools in addition to schools participating in the TACHS process, be aware that we can only accept 3 applications to process. Please understand that if every student were to apply for three additional schools this would be almost 90 applications in addition to the TACHS schools. Thank you for your understanding. Students needing recommendations, applications or record requests should bring these requests themselves to the office. Mrs. Callahan will process the papers and give teachers the recommendations. All paperwork will then be submitted to the high school by the office. A copy of the paperwork will be filed in the office as well in the event a high school calls for further details or something is missing. Lastly, to assist high schools with coordinating visits, maintaining attendance records and ensure productive visits, students are limited to the 3 schools they enter on the TACHS application. All visits must be requested in writing and the elementary school must be notified in advance of the visit. TACHS Prep courses are fine support programs. However, using the TACHS Prep test book is also good for practice.
