[email protected] – E-mail High Country Fabrication (HICO) is a custom manufacturer of shell and tube heat exchangers, pressure vessels, reactors, columns, reboilers, scrubbers and other process equipment. We hold ASME Code Stamps “U” & “R” and have incorporated a formal quality control program. We have expanded our ASME Code equipment fabrication business. Our marketing efforts have resulted in an ever increasing demand for our custom built products. The majority of our clients represent the oil, gas, and chemical industries. Our equipment has been shipped to oil and gas production fields, pipelines, refineries, chemical plants, soda ash and sodium amide plants, sugar refineries, water treatment facilities, and coal and energy industry facilities worldwide. This increased demand required significant expansion of our shop facilities. In early 1993 we completed our 3,300 sq. ft. finishing facility located west of our main shop. Weather conditions often dictate certain aspects of our manufacturing process. This building ensures weather conditions are not the deciding factors that impact our delivery schedules and current shop fabrication space. In mid-1993 we installed a stress relieve oven. This furnace measures 21’ wide x 15’ high x 54’long internally, with a capacity of 110 tons. The furnace utilizes natural gas and heats to a maximum temperature of 1800 deg. F. We completed our heavy fabrication bay located on the east side of our main shop in 1994. This bay is approximately 34,000 sq. ft. and measures 78’ wide x 422’ long. The craneways inside have hook heights of 35’ and a capacity of 145 tons. This facility also contains a rail transfer system for ease in handling heavy equipment. Housed in our heavy fabrication bay are plate rolls capable of rolling 4 1/2” thick steel in 10’ wide sections. Casper, Wyoming is very centrally located. Interstate 25 runs through Casper from the east and then turns north. Interstate 80 is south. Burlington Northern Santa Fe services the rail spur into our yard. Our work is of the highest standards in the industry. We are proud to build equipment in this beautiful and rugged state of Wyoming.

Estimating, Engineering & Drafting Professional Memberships & Organizations: From development by our customer’s engineering, to working within the parameters of our customer design, right through the finished product, High Country Fabrication is committed to delivering superior products built with the compliance standards set up by the following organizations: HTRI, ASME Code stamps “U” & “R, API 660, HEI, and TEMA Engineering of Heat Exchangers & Pressure Vessels: Our engineering department is equipped with state-of-the-art computers, including revised AutoCAD to augment drawings which in turn facilitates drafting time. We utilize Codeware and our own in-house programs for mechanical design of vessels and exchangers. HTRI programs are used for thermal design of heat exchangers. Our heat exchangers are guaranteed mechanically and thermally. Drafting: The programs that our drafting department uses are the latest releases of AutoCAD enhanced with AutoLISP routines and in-house programming which provides us and our customers with a quick turn-around of drawings.
