Discover the Hidden Secrets ofEMR Consulting Downfall

    By Concepcion Guzman

I have seen how this industry hourly rate went from $100/hr. to $35/hr. I have seen how this industry

went from 2 EMR firms to a new one coming out every day. I have seen how EMR firms became rich in

few months and went broke the next month. I have seen how people with no experience in EMR or IT

joined this business and got kick out of projects in matter of hours. I have seen nurses crying for 12 hours

straight every time they step in front of the computer. I have seen physicians smashing the computer

screens against the wall. I have seen old physicians trying to sign orders with their pen on the screen. I

have seen a lot. This is why I want to let you know that you are not as safe as you think you are. I want toshare with you the Hidden Secrets of EMR Consulting Downfall. I want to share with you why you may

not get any nicer $4,000 - $5000 weekly paychecks in this industry any longer.

The first topic that I want to discuss is EMR Consultants Saturation.

EMR Consultants Saturation: When I first started in this business, I could count all theconsultants with my fingers and knew each one of them by first and last name. We were a small

family. These days, its completely the opposite. The crowd is out of control! During my last days

of consulting, I witnessed consultants bringing their friends, neighbors, grandmas, brothers,

sisters-in-law, and anyone else they could find into this business! It was amazing!

I have seen full familiesMom, Dad, little John, little Jessie, PLUS little Jessies boyfriendof

course working on the same shift togetherhaving dinner as a big united family. Nothing better

than staying together as a family, but I bet anything that 99.9% of the family members did not

know what the term titrated means. Theres nothing wrong with helping a friend or a family

member; I know times are tough, and EMR consultings pay rates are out of the ordinary for most

    people.

But no one takes into consideration those consultants who really know the system. Why? Because

the people that dont know the system will be the ones taking advantage and looking over the

shoulders of the ones that know the system. But waitthere is more! On top of that, the ones who

knows the system will be responsible for ALL, yes ALL, the questions on the floor, includingtheir teammates questions!

I am very happy for been involved in situations like this because it helped me realized where I

was in life, and it made me move forward to greater things. I love the healthcare IT business! Free

travel, food, rental cars, hotels, etc. But unfortunately, doing the work of four people and getting

the same paycheck didnt make much sense for me. I have never received an extra incentive from

a company for supporting their own consultants. I dont think it will ever happen!

It was funny because I have to take care of the nurses, doctors, clinical staff, and my own

teammates! OK, OKdont take that to mean I wasnt a team player; I would always give them a

hand if they were stuck with something because no one knew the system from top to bottom. Butwhat I meant is that I needed to help them with EVERYTHING in order to protect the floor from

bad feedback. I knew when I was in trouble when my teammate told me, Wow, Ive neverseen

that before! Of course notduh! Youd neverseen the system either! Sounds familiar?

There is a reason why I emphasize in this point so much. We are taking care of patients. We are

changing mindsets, routines, lifestyles, and long-term philosophies that deal with taking care of

patients. We are helping medical staff with their biggest professional transition of their lives. We

are putting the life of a patient on a computer with every click. We are the people who the clinical

staff look for to be their saviors.

We are also their biggest enemiesif youve been in the business long enough, youve probably

received a note like this from a doctor: YOU GUYS are evil! This system is going to kill

    patients!

The clinical staff doesnt have time to wait for consultants to find answers. They paid a large

amount of money to have consultants answering questions, not to look for consultants to look for

other consultants to answer it for them or calling the command center to ask how to add a patient

    to a list.

Do you know how much time it takes for medical staff to be educated enough to take care of

patients? Five to twelve years. And youre telling me that because a consulting position is paying$55$85/hour, You should apply anyway, not worrying about if you know what you doing or

not? What about the patients? What about the people that will be looking out for you? What about

your name and reputation? What about the feedback? What about the helpless nurses that are

frustrated after a long 13-hour shift whos looking to do the right discharge? Forget about getting

paid; all those questions are more important than all the money you can make in your lifetime!

A survey conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers revealed that 62% of healthcare CEOs are

concerned about the availability of health IT (HIT) skills in the current marketplace. Companies

are now seeking new strategies to address the lack of HIT resources available by borrowing

technology specialists from other industries.Click Here For Full Report

This report is very interesting; it doesnt say that there is a lack of available resources, but rather a

lack of skillsconsultants that really know the system who can help medical staff with the

implementation transition. For some reason, people believe that they can just come to the

hospital, hide for two weeks, get the paychecks, and move to the next project. Where are peoples

minds these days? Do you feel productive this way? Do you really love it that way?

I am a firm believer of not working for the money, but rather working for what I really want. I

cannot do it JUST for the money. There is no motivation, nothing. I get tired quickly and always

look for shortcuts to get out of it. Do you feel good when somebody asks you something and you

have no idea what the answer could be? Do this sound familiar to you?

The second topic that I want to discuss is EMR Firms.

EMR Firms: Before I start, I want to make a very clear point. I own an EMR Firms, and I amcurrently active in business. With that being said, lets continue.

There is one big problem withEMR Firmsthey favor volume over quality. This is dangerous. I

know from experience that filling 300+ positions is not an easy task. I know there may not be 300

quality consultants available in the marketplace. But, can EMR firms control quality when they

are required to recruit 300+ consultants? My honest answer is yes, they can, but when money is

on the table, volume dominates. This is where the following script takes place for MOST of the

    EMR Firms:

    1. Recruiter places an ad or sends an email to his database requesting immediate EMRconsultants.

    2. EMR consultants spread the word about the opportunity.3. EMR consultants invite their friends and family to join the project: Yeah, i ts easy!

Dont worry; the company may call you f or an in terview, but recru itersdontknow

anything about EMR. You know what? Ill do the interview for youRelax!

    Youre in!

    4. EMR consultants help their buddies create fake resumes with their own fake pastexperiences.

    5. Buddies share their resume with the recruiter, who must recruit 300+ consultantsby next week.

    6. Recruiter calls the buddies to make a quick interview with the following questions:Recruiter: How long you have been doing EMR training?

Buddies: EhahuhCan you repeat that question one more time? Oh

    yeah, two yearsyes, two years.

Recruiter: Great! I will send you the paperwork by email! Please return it as

soon as possible. Can you fly out tomorrow?

Of course this doesnt happen with every EMR Firm, but it does with at least 99% of them. Ive

been in this business long enough to attest to the truth of that statement. Unfortunately, there is

too much money to throw away if they get tied up with the recruiting requirements. The profit is

HUGE to get too fancy with filling in positions. All they need are bodies standing on the floor.

If you think about it, it makes a whole lot of sense: I, as a company, get paid from $150

$220/hour per consultant, and I pay them $55$100/hour. And all do is bid, place, and follow up?

Oh yeah! Bring me 500 of those!

EMR Firms need around 10% of consultants to be experienced. What about the other 90%? The

qualified 10% will take care of them. Yes, its that simple. Are you following here? Are you on

    the right track?

Hey! We are in business to make money, but what we are doing is destroying a steady, booming

    industry.

This is where EMR firms continuously fail:

    1. They do not require recruiters to know anything about EMR software, at least 99% ofthem. They are just recruiters, not EMR consultants or recruiters. They are not able to

go over your resume because they cannot have an EMR-specific conversation about

your experiences. They just fish for requested keywords by the clients.

If they are looking for an expert in ClinDoc and your resume clearly says Certified

Clinical Documentation Specialist, there are huge possibilities they wont hire you

because they dont know what the term ClinDoc stands for. It may sound funny,

    but it is completely true.

    2. As long as the resume looks fine and match the correct keywords, you will get hired.Another funny fact, activations and Go-Lives may not be the same for recruiters.

    3. The hospitals will not go over 300+ interviews to select candidates because they trustthe EMR firm they hired to do the recruiting for them; is nt what they pay EMR

    firms big money for?

Unfortunately, EMR firms are here to make money, and they know that if they burn

that 10% of consultants that really knows the system to rescue the 90% left, they willbe fine with the client during the duration of the contract. What they dont know is

that 10% is already tired of getting burn out.

The sad thing about all these problems with the EMR firms is that hospitals are figuring it out.

They are starting to find out that most EMR firms dont have the quality consultants they said

they had. Soon, hospitals will make a decision that will affect everyone in this business.

You dont even know how frustrating it is for the hospital to go through the process of kicking

    people off projects.

Do you know how much time goes into the decision-making process before they choose an EMR

    firm?

Countless hours, bidding processes, researching, references, meetings, etc. What do you think

about hospitals making all these efforts just to find out about consultants sleeping on the corner

    during their shifts?

What do you think about CEOs and Project Managers making rounds on the floors and asking

questions to consultants on the fly and have those not able to answer?

How do you think it feels to go back to the EMR firm and tell them that they have to kick

somebody out after they believed they had the best quality in the industry?

How do you think it feels to find out about consultants doing rounds to the hotel two times a day?

Do you get the picture? It is pitiful!

We are forgetting that the hospitals are going through the most difficult challenge in their career.

They trust us with all their hearts. We are their saviors. We are their biggest hope for making this

    transition work.

Hospitals choose the best sales presentation, feedback, and references during their decision-

making process of choosing the best company out there. What they dont know is that the same

EMR firm is focusing on quantity and not quality.

Have you ever had a recruiter saying, If you have a friend, send them over to me? They just

need a resume to be submitted for approval. They dont mind if the resume is real or not. If it was

approved by the client, then fine! Ifit wasnt, then sorry; you wont be qualified. Very simple!

Wow. This is so powerful. I hope you are getting this picture.

Here is an example from my own life. I had been in all phases of this industry: consulting,

implementation, business owner, team lead, team member, you name it. I know what it takes to

build massive amounts of money in this industry. But unfortunately people are doing it with the

    wrong mindset.

This is a true story. I have a friend who made some money in this industry and he decided to open

an EMR firm. This was back in 2011. If youve been in this industry for a little bit, you know

    who I am talking about.

This company was launched in the second half of 2011, and my friend hired a massive number of

NEWBIES for his initial project. He paid consultants a miserable $40/hour, which was

EXTRAORDINARY considering the quality of consultants he hired. In his first project, he had

more than 60% of the consultants kicked out of the project in less than a week, and the rest stayed

because the client had no other option. But waitit gets better.

If you are a company, you may know what I am going to talk about next, but if you are a

consultant, Ill explain it to you. When you make a contract with the hospital, you dont get paid

until the project is completed. Yes, you may get a down payment upfront, but not much.

Now if an EMR firm hires 100 consultants under weekly payments, where do they as an EMRfirm get that money from to pay their consultants?

This is not a game; this industry is huge, and if you want to play big, you need to make sure you

have deep pockets behind your checkbook!

This is exactly what happened with my very good friend. He believed that he would make a

fortune by just getting people on board and that was it. As of today, I think hestillowes people

    moneythats crazy!

There are many new companies like this. People think that handling a business is a piece of cake,

and they think they can figure it out down the road. Not in this business. Paychecks in this

business are about $4,000 a week per consultant. You dont want to be playing video games when

you have to pay $400,000 a week for 100 consultants. $400,000 is no joke. You have to realize

that you will not be receiving any money from the clients until one to two months after

    completionif youre lucky!

The sad thing is that many business owners wannabes keep doing this, and consultants keep

supporting them by joining their companies and then consultants start complaining on social

networks, projects, etc. Do your research before signing agreements. Simple.

There are only FEW companies that I could say are worth working with. Only FEW.

Bottom Line: Most consulting firms chose quantity over quality, and by doing so, they arenegatively affecting this industry.

I want to give you my personal expectations about the EMR business on a short and long-term basis:

Please pay close attention to each word. I want you to realize that this is exactly where you are standing

right now. I want you to realize that there is a better way that I will be sharing with you in the following

letter to make this kind of money. I want you to realize that you need to make a move before is too late to

make a decision. I want you to realize that this business is in the last stage.

The hospitals will get tired of the same old and will run to safetyhiring ONLYcertifiedconsultants, even for Go-Lives. This is the only way they can control turnover rates and condenseimplementation cycles. Also, its the only way they can be confident of the quality.

The hospitals will stop trusting EMR firms. At least the small companies that have showed up inthe last few years.

EMR Software Companies will restrict education and/or certification for experienced consultantsand will only allow certification to the hospitals clinical staff. Already happening.

Remember something; the hospitals are the ones paying BIG money to purchase their software,so they have priority. EMR firms have no priority, since they dont bring enough revenue to the

EMR software companies. EMR firms need the EMR software company, not the other wayaround. Of course EMR software companies look like they really care about EMR Firms, but thebottom line is: They dont bring money to the table, the client does.

Experienced consultants who really know the system will reach a breaking point and decide to gofull-time (which is the consultantsbiggest nightmare) or move on to a better life.

Consultants hourly rate will decrease dramatically due to high supply between experienced andnew consultants on the market. Experienced consultants will not have any other options than

accepting half of the hourly rate they used to get due to inexperienced consultant accepting a

ridiculously lower rate. Remember:$30/hour for inexperienced consultants is a treasure!

The hospitals will stop hiring EMR firms and will start contracting human resources agencies forfull-time employment opportunities. I am surprised they havent done this already in a full-time

    basis.

Of course I am part of the industry as well, and I make part of my living from it. But I vebeen moving

my interests away from it, since I saw a great decline in the EMR consulting business coming. I have seen

how EMR software companies take full control of your future by prohibiting you to get certified.

When was the last time you went to a university with your checkbook in hand to register for classes and

they told you No. You cannot take classes even if you have money for it? That is exactly how is been

played in the EMR software business. In this business you are not allow to increase your education to the

next level even if you have the money to do so. To be honest I never seen something like this.

As a company, I have helped many people go through this process. But, I have to be the bad guy to tell

you that there is no way, today, to get certified unless you decide to take an extremely low salary working

fulltime either for a hospital or EMR firm. If you think your certification is around the corner. Think

again. Things are going South instead of North. I am promising you that there is no way today to do it.

We as EMR firms had fought this battle long enough without any long-term success.

I have seen many emails from frustrated consultants asking me to accept 3x the price to get them

certified. I wish it was that easy. I had an old lady, which I love with all my heart, willing to pay 2x the

money to get certified. I was amazed. I have seen many consultants that started in this industry 5 yearsago which havent been able to get certified and now they are working for $40/hr.

Unfortunately, our hands are tight just like yours. Remember: EMRfirms dont bring revenue to the

    table.

Fortunately, there is a better way! There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I will be revealing this

opportunity later on in our second letter.

I have been able to invest in long-term productive businesses. Thats the SMARTEST thing to do at this

stage. There are a lot of uncertainties on the horizon, and things dont lookpromising. I have been able to

replace and even triple my EMR consulting income from the comfort of my office (initially) and nowfrom the comfort of my home by following real, long-term business strategies that will last forever

without depending on someone else approval.

I have put most of my investments in the online marketing arena. Everything is done online, and you

know you have the skills to do it because youre an expert with computers. I couldnt believe how easy it

was to build a second income stream from my office and then from my homean income that actually

triples my previous consulting income. And now became my number one source of income. I cannot

disclose my personal investing just yet, but I will in the next few days.

This way of investing is very limited to my inner circle, since I dont share my personal investment or

income strategies with many people. If you are reading this, you are part of it.

Ivebeen working on this strategy since last December, and in only six months, with the right team and

guidance, I have been able to replace my past EMR consulting income + my companys net income, with

what is now my number one income stream. I cannot believe how simple it was. Its been staring at me

every day and maybe be its staring at you now. But you dont know what you dont know , right? I have

learned this hidden treasure, and I am now living the lifestyle I have always wanted. I have been able to

spend time with my family, help my family financially, and give to my church. And of course, I am

starting to travel the world. There is nothing better than working in pajamas!

I feel for my colleagues; I feel for you guys, because we shared great times together working side by side.

This is why Im sharing this document with you. There is no better thing in life than giving.

In the past, I was involved with all the 12 hours shifts and jumping from one project to another that Ididnt even know what day of the week it was. I didnt even realize that my family and friends were

waiting for me anxiously back home, but I kept taking projects because my mind was telling me to do so,

even though my heart was telling me to stop and go back home. I didnt even realize that I was burning

myself, with no plan of when I was going to stop doing it. I didnt even realize that I was missing years of

my life. Time is the ONLY thing in the world you and me cannot recuperate or buy.

I left the consulting industry after believing that I would be broke if I didnt take the next project in my

email inbox. It was hard to leave it behind and decide to move on with life, but I realized that I was an

addict in a loop. I never stopped taking projects. I said to myself a million times that this will be the last

one for the year, but it never happened! You know me!

I always kept working and working without worrying about my familyI was an EMR consultant addict!

I bet you are too! But what your mind is telling you is a lie. You will not be broke, you will not lose

connections, and you will not take a break if you keep doing the same thing. There is a better way; there

is a way to make the same amount of money while spending time with your family and watching your

kids grow. There is a better you. This better way will be reveal soon in the next few days.

Of course, I am not saying you should run away from the EMR consulting business. But at least think

about where you see yourself after reading this; think about if your hourly rate will stay the same or

increase from now on. Think about how much longer your family will support you with this lifestyle.

Think about whether spending 11 months traveling, away from your loved ones, is what you want for

your life; think about if burning yourself up for 84 hours a week for a lower rate than youre used to is

worth your time. Think about if you deserve a better lifea life where you decide how, when, where, and

what will be done. Think about where you will be left out today if the hospital decided to shut down the

consulting firms and decided to go with full-timers only; think about if the hospitals decided today to

work with certified consultants only. Think about ALL the frustrations that you have gone through to get

certified and always finding a you cant somewhere along the way. Think about what makes you

happythink about if you could make the same amount of money youre making right now and even

more BUT from the comfort of your home. Think about what if you could have all the time in the world

to spend with your family. Think about being home and making the same amount of money without the

traveling, the hotel issues, doctors bipolarities, long night shifts, and delayed of payments.

Think about waking up when you want to, not when the alarm says you have to. Think about being free of

everything and finally not working for moneythink about making money work for YOU and not for

somebody else. Think about being able to spend time with your church, charity, and missionary trips that

you have always wished you had the time to do. Think about how you havent had the time to see your

kids or grandkids grow; every day, they grow bigger and bigger without you. Think about how many

promises you have broken because youve received a last-minute call from a recruiter and you took the

contract on the spot. Think about where most of your hard-earned money is right now; think about if this

letter was worth the time it took to read it. Feel your heart rate thats been rising more and more as youve

been reading. Listen to your mind that is telling you to move forward in life; feel the electricity going

down your spine all the way down to your feet. Think about this opportunity that I am about to show you

in the next days of making a living from home; think about finally being home with your loved ones

You know there is a better way. You have realized that you are not as safe as you thought you were; youhave realized that this opportunity I am about to show is what youve been looking for, and you have

realized that you are free to do what you have always wanted to do. Now, you need to make a decision.

I have experienced the same aha! moment you are experiencing right now. I know how it feels; thats

why I want to provide you a solution, but only if you are serious about moving to a better life. I will be

opening some doors in the next few days for an opportunity that has changed my life in the last 6 months.

This opportunity has allowed me to write my own checks. This opportunity is not open to the public just

yet. It will open for you in the next few days. If you really want to change your life and be able to finally

reach your desire lifestyle, this opportunity is for you. How much do you really want it? I dont know.

Would you take action? I cant say. Would you stay in the same position that youre in today? Maybe you

    would

I can only guarantee you one thing: if you do nothing, nothing will change.

I leave you with this. There is always a next level; there is always a better you. And you are more

powerful than you can imagine. Your life doesnt happen to you, you happen to your life. Take control of

your life. The cost of success is cheaper than the cost of failure. Stop trying; either do or dont.

You should never stop learning in life. I want to help as many people achieve their real dreams as I can. I

know you can. Investing in your education is best thing you can ever do to improve your life.

I will be sending you the same opportunity that changed everything for me during the next few days. You

dont want to miss that email! It will have ALL the information you need to triplicate your income before

the end of the year while enjoying life at the same time.

    Talk to you soon,
