They include unspoken rules, slang, metaphors & body language. This lecture includes practical tips for teaching the Hidden Curriculum to children & adults & incorporating it into everyday life. Dr. Myles co-directs a graduate program in Asperger Syndrome & Autism. She has written numerous articles & books, one of which (Asperger Syndrome and Adolescence: Practical Solutions for School Success [with D. Adreon] was the winner of the Autism Society of America's Outstanding Literary Work in 2002. Dr. Myles is on the executive boards of the Organization for Autism Research; Asperger Syndrome Coalition of the United States; Maap Services Inc.; Aspen; the International Council for Learning Disabilities; & Advocates for Individuals with High Functioning Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, and Other Pervasive Developmental Disorders.
