“By applauding the dedication of child care providers on May 8th, (Provider Appreciation Day), we remind our communities of the importance of high-quality child care, and let our FCC providers know that we appreciate and value their important work,” said Rose Hardy, Family Child Care Coordinator. “It is important that the care a child receives during the fi rst fi ve years of life be of high-quality because 90 percent of brain development occurs during those years.”

Great story telling continues in May

at the Hickam Library. The Alphabet

morning of ABCs and numbers. Pre-

School Storytime will also be held

on Wednesday, May 27 when we’ll

present stories about Dinosaurs!

Both programs run from 9 to 10

a.m. For additional information, call

449-8289.

Planet Series with Planet Jupiter on Thursday,

May 7 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. and again on Thursday,

May 21 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. As part of the Solar

Ambassador Program, you’ll learn about this huge

planet and its 63 moons!
