    Let me answer your questions;

    The resources we use (GamePlan and Spotlight on Music) address musical

    concepts in a variety o ways! "or e#ample$ i the concept is %Steady &eat' it cane taught through song$ ody percussion$ instruments or a mi#ture! the studentis not grasping the concept through %song' the approach can e changed toinstruments or movement! Music is a %uilding loc*' The ne#t lesson adds on tothe previous concept (Steady &eat and +hythm$ Steady &eat$ +hythm andPitch)!

    The data collected is done through %,isile Learning'! -s a music specialist$ormative and summative assessment occurs continuously in the classroom$ othwithin and etween lessons! Then eedac*$ to e eective$ has to occur minuteto minute or in short cycles! "eed ac* has to e direct$ understandale and

    correction should e ale to e perormed immediately! "urthermore$ goodeedac* should ma*ing teachingvisile to the student! The student should haveno dout as to what is required$ what is right and what is wrong and how toprogress! .hen it is clear what is eing taught and what the students arelearning student achievement increases!

    /ata is also collected through written summative %0ornerstone -ssessments'(see attachments)! These are written evaluations o the musical concepts! havethe tests in my iles i you would li*e to see them! 1verall the students are doingvery well in the practical application (singing$ recorder playing$ and malletplaying) and the written assessments!

    2ou as*ed i was o pacing on one o the lessons! you loo* at the wee* thelesson was taught you can see that it was pushed ahead! .ee* 3 ecame wee*4 wee* 5 ecame wee* 3! The classes were doing well and could advance!

    did change the pacing to etter suit ,&0PS goals (-P$ P$ /P$ and 6)!Summative assessments were on wee* 5 o the quarter! This did not give thestudent time or the chance to do etter! moved summative assessments earlierso that the student could have that time to improve!
