Purchased by her current owners in 2007 having come directly out of trade she was moved to renowned Dutch yard SRF in Harlingen and underwent considerable work from 2007/8 .This included shortening, new decks, collapsible wheelhouse, hatches, windows etc along with new installations to include new engine/gearbox/python drive, hydraulic bow thruster, heating system, electrics, water tanks and much more. The barge was completely shot blasted and painted in 2pack epoxy paints. Moved across to the UK via the North Sea late 2008 she was then professionally fitted out to very high standard, comprising of 4 en suite cabins sleeping 8, open lounge and galley, utility room and wheelhouse with a dining space and wide river views. Situated permanently afloat in Heybridge Basin she has a residential mooring (transferable by arrangement) with adjacent parking in this picturesque village and wonderful surroundings of the River Blackwater and the nearby historic town of Maldon. Francoise is a luxury liveaboard and an excellent cruising barge for the UK and European waters (subject to EU regulations). Recent hull survey in July 2018 – new anodes.
