Nursery News Welcome back to all our nursery children. We hope you had a lovely half term break. This week we have been settling back into routines. Mrs Burgess has been making soup with the children. They have been learning how to chop, peel and grate vegetables such as leeks, potato, carrots and turnip. It was delicious. Next week, Tuesday 31 st October we will be having a Fancy Dress Day with fun activities and cooking in nursery. Can we ask that there are no clown outfits as many children are very frightened of these. We would kindly like to remind parents to make full use of your child’s time at nursery as it is beneficial to your child’s development and learning. Having your child at nursery for their full allocated time allows them to build relationships and gain a positive experience from the nursery learning environment. City of Edinburgh Council – Schools Open Day for Prospective P1 Parents Just to remind you that the City of Edinburgh Council schools open day for prospective P1 parents will take place on Thursday 2 nd November 9.30am – 10.30am. P1 Induction Week Primary 1 induction week will take place week beginning 6 th November.

Nursery News

Welcome back to all our nursery children. We hope you had a lovely half term break. This week we have been settling back into routines. Mrs Burgess has been making soup with the children. City of Edinburgh Council – Schools Open Day for Prospective P1 Parents

Just to remind you that the City of Edinburgh Council schools open day for prospective P1 parents will take place on Thursday 2nd November 9.30am – 10.30am.

P1 Induction Week

Primary 1 induction week will take place week beginning 6th November. Please ensure when handing in the application form that the relevant documentation is included. We need a birth certificate, a council tax bill and a utility bill. Without this documentation your child cannot be registered.

P6 & P7 Performance of “Tam O’Shanter

Primary 6 and Primary 7 have been working extremely hard with Scottish Opera over the past few weeks on a performance entitled “Tam O’Shanter”. The performance will take place on Thursday 2nd November 2.00pm.
