Here come old flattop he come grooving up slowly

He got joo-joo eyeball he one holy roller

He got hair down to his knee Got to be a joker he just do

what he please “I think that the lyrics from, ‘Come Together’ are relevant to the 60’s because they talk

about having long hair, and they use the word, “Grooving,” so I think that whenever I read the lyrics from this songs, they

just remind me of hippies and the 60’s.”

Summary of, “The Promise”

By: Chaim Potok

“This conflict becomes a personal issue for Reuven because his Talmud teacher for his final school year is one of these, a zealously religious, rigid and angry rabbi by the name of Jacob Kalman. Reuven's father is a well-known teacher and author who writes books on modern methods of studying the Talmud, and Reuven finds himself caught in the middle as his teacher tries to force him to choose between his father's way and Rav Kalman.”

PresidentPresident Nixon’s story

Richard Nixon was the thirty-seventh president of the United States. He successfully served as a member of the House of Representatives and of the Senate and was vice president under Dwight Eisenhower (1890–1969). Despite all his political triumphs, Nixon will probably best be remembered as the first president to resign from office. To millions of Americans, Richard Milhous Nixon was the most puzzling and fascinating politician of his time. He was a man of high intelligence whose talents, especially in international affairs, were widely respected by both friend and foe. Yet he was so motivated by hatreds and fears that he abused his powers and resorted to lies and cover-ups. 3

“NBC's I Dream of Jeannie popped onto the NBC airwaves from 1965-1970, debuting with a handsome young Air Force astronaut, forced to abort a mission, parachuting down onto a deserted island. While waiting for the rescue team, he finds a groovy purple bottle and uncorks it. In a puff of smoke, a curvaceous genie in a harem outfit appears, calls him Master and instantly falls in love with him.”

WoodstockAn editorial

Woodstock Music & Art Fair was a music festival, known as "An Aquariam Exposition: 3 Days of Peace & Music". It was held at Max Yasgur’s 600-acre dairy farm near the hamlet of White Lake in the town of Bethel, New York from August 15 to August 18, 1969. During the sometimes rainy weekend, thirty-two acts performed outdoors in front of 500,000 concert-goers. It is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most pivotal moments in popular music history and was listed among Rolling Stone's 50 Moments That Changed the History of Rock and Roll.
