The art of preserving a moment in photographic form truly is the work of a songwriter. In ancient history, before photographing devices ever existed, stories and memories were passed down through song as an auditory way of documenting the past. As time has progressed forward so has our technology and ways of documenting but the timeless value of remembering still remains.

It is our belief that every soul has a story to express, a musical song if you will, that exudes from their life. The variety and diversity of these songs are overwhelmingly beautiful and should be treasured and recorded. Our ardent desire is to write the music with every click of the shutter and play the song with every print on a canvas. As time carries on it is our hope that these images will continue to sing even after the wedding is over, the children are grown, and those we love are gone.

Our Philosophy

Our craft is simplistic in nature, a timeless romantic film look in a digital age, free from clutter, and full of sophistication. Soft color palettes and warm natural light that lends itself towards an airy and light feeling is our signature look. Our portraits sing of romance, emotions, and depth.

We want your heart set at ease, knowing that you are in the company of friends. Non- intrusive and gentle is how we work, recording moments that naturally happen, whether it be on your wedding day, a portrait session, or birth event. Yet we know it can be intimidating facing the camera, or needing a host of family members posed for a portrait. In these moments we offer firm and patient guidance to get those special shots with that perfect light, to create our signature look. We consider it an honor and a privilege to join with you and your loved ones for this unique moment in your life.

We LOVE to shoot weddings internationally so we will create a custom travel abroad package just for

So whether you live in a different state or you want to take a jaunt across the ocean, we would be more then pleased to accompany you along for the journey.

Rehearsal

Speeches are given spontaneously from the heart, warmly anticipated reunions of family and friends happen, and that feeling of indescribable happiness descends as your wedding celebrations begin. A lovely and artistic way is provided to document the informal and candid moments between you and the dearest people in your lives. These moments make your evening more then just a beautiful dinner, it becomes a meaningful and treasured event worth recording. We would consider it a pleasure to join you in this occasion.

Engagement

This is a premier way for us to get to know each other before the wedding day arrives. You can unwind a bit in front of the camera in this non-stressful, friendly environment. In addition we can get to know what makes you feel comfortable enhancing an enjoyable wedding day experience.

So think of where you first met in college, the cafe where you had your first date, or even that special place where you were engaged. These are the types of settings that paint the perfect backdrop for your engagement session.

Life happens fast. Songs are being sung, days are coming to a close and quickly the kids are grown and life will look different. Birth Events

Words fail to convey the beauty of birth. Few events parallel the moment you say “Hello Darling” for the first time. The pressure is taken off of others to document the event, freeing all to be immersed in the experience.

About Us

We are a husband and

wife duo, photographing

together.

HerLydia is the principal photographer, having studied

the craft for the past 10 years through school,

apprenticeships, mentors, and hours upon hours of

self-guided study and practice. Her enjoyment of the

fine arts, admiration of early historical photography

styles, and her determination to learn, heavily influences

her style and approach to the craft. Her work has been

featured in the national publication of Destination

Weddings and Honeymoons, as well as The Knot. At

heart she is a southern belle from Georgia who loves

living the life she always dreamed of.

HimAndrew is the studio manager and secondary

photographer. He has always had a love for media as a

powerful communication tool and enjoys photography.

Everything that goes on at the studio is smoothly and

efficiently managed by Andrew as the right hand man.

He is a Canadian raised boy who enjoys organic foods,

athletics, and delving into scholarly books outside on a

sunny day.

How to Book

To secure your wedding day or photo session a 50% deposit and signed contract is required at the time of booking. We will not hold your date without a signed contract and deposit. We accept most credit cards as well as checks.
