helping hand saigon poster explanation
TRANSCRIPT
Audiece: 20-30 year old English speaking
adultsPurpose: to try and
get more people interested in
volunteering at a local orphanage in Binh
Thanh.
I’ve used Fantastic Font because I want
to grab my audience’s eyes right away when they look
at my poster
To make the poster look nice, I’ve used gradient to make the picture ( a girl) fade in the yellow background. By using this tool, it make my
poster more real
When I pasted new image to my poster, I
paste it to the new “Layer” so that I can
edit it and not changing the details of my poster that already been there.
When I editing my poster, there are certain
times that I want to combine layers, so I
used the tool “Merge layer down” . After
finish all the layers and all my work, I flattened
all the layers so they combine into one
picture, so that I can save all my layers.
I wanted the colors to match each other so I used “Color Picker”
tool to choose the color that I want to
match. For example: when you look at my presentation you can see that I have pick
the color of the words (Make the word a better place for
children) to match with the gradient
background color that I’ve used. This tool is
really important because it helps us
making the audience not confused when
they look at our poster.
SKILLS
I’ve used text box to make these statements. I don’t want to have the
border of text box because it looks bad. So I’ve used magic wand to delete it. Magic wand is a useful tool when you want to delete some blank spaces, or non-used
information you can delete it.
If there is a chance for me to redo this poster again , I
would like to make the picture (holding money) to make it
merge into the girl picture . By doing this, it will make my poster looks not separate
Simple Since I want to make
my poster to be simple. I only make 4 parts. Well, actually 6 parts but I combined
certain layers together so it’s
simple. I tried to make it simple so that
people can get the idea easier and not be bored while glancing
at my poster
Fantastic Fonts I chose these fonts because they looks simple. Even though
this font “Small change Big
difference” looks simple but these font looks strong and show
what I want to send the message to my
audience.
Focal pointI chose my focal point is the picture (a girl). It shows how
aspire she is when living in this poor conditions. But if we
volunteer help those kids by just donate 20,000 VND or
more. Those poor day that day have overcome will be over, and the great day will start. When I do the research on
picture, there’s lots of pictures. But I chose this picture because when my audience looks at it, it kind of feel emotional. And that
hook my audience!!!
Color ChoosingI chose this beautiful
background because it looks creative by using this tool “Gradient”. By using this
tool it will make my poster like creative. Using yellow blue, one of the matching color. By using gradient
tool, it will make my poster looks more real and
creative. So, I think that I’ve done a great job using
“Color Choosing”
BalanceIn my opinion, my poster kind of
look balanced. To make the poster looks balanced, I’ve create 4
parts. The first part is the text which is “Small change Big
difference”. The second one is the picture and the description. The
third part is the picture, this pat is not very important so I crop it smaller. The fourth part is the
logo and some text to encourage everyone to join. Even though it’s not look vey balance, but I believe
that although it’s not balanced but it will looks persuasive by the
looks of my poster. When the audience looks at this poster they
will feel like they really want to volunteer to help.
