Care Cards founded in 1968 have helped charities raise many millions of pounds through the sale of Christmas cards.

Privately owned and based in West Yorkshire we are one of the very few producers of charity greeting cards who DESIGN, MANUFACTURE and FINISH all of our products under one roof in the UNITED KINGDOM.

The EnvironmentWe are passionate about ensuring our manufacturing has as little impact as possible upon the environment. Sustainability is at the forefront of our minds in everything we do.

All of our greeting cards are printed on FSC accredited board meaning that they are produced on board that comes from FSC certified forests or from recycled waste. FSC certified forests are managed in a environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable manner.

As part of the Zero 2 Landfill Foil scheme we ensure that none of the foil we use in our factory ends up in landfill, waste that would have previously ended up in landfill is now recycled for energy production.

We DO NOT USE glitter on any of our cards due to the devastating effect micro plastics are having on our planet.

Our ethical commitment does not end there, we are a member of Sedex, the World’s largest collaborative platform for sharing responsible sourcing data on supply chains. The organisation ensures that our ethical standards are exemplary in relation to human resources and health and safety in our factory.

Supporting good causes

The sale of greeting cards and stationery has long been seen by charities as a method of raising much needed funds. However, this has not been without its problems;

• Traditionally charities are required to order and pay for the cards they sell before the selling season, thus diverting funds from other major projects.

• The charity typically has to limit the range of designs that it offers in order to create sufficient quantity of each design to obtain the best buying price for the product.

• A further problem is that even with the best design selection charities can be, and often are, left with stock, which has to be stored and sold at a reduced price the following year. This can mean that a big proportion of profits for the year are left in excess stock.

• Range selection, order processing and stock management can all be very time consuming, the administrative load placed on charities is not insignificant.

• In partnership with Care Cards we will reduce your workload on the sale of greeting cards to almost nothing. All you need to do is promote your products, and we will even help you do that!!

All our products (excluding gift wrap) are printed with your charities name and /or logo on them. This has a significant impact upon the promotion of your charity.

In the case of Christmas and greeting cards the reverse of the card will be fully personalised to display your charities message, web address, social media details together with any other message you may wish to include. We know of instances where the sending of branded Christmas cards sold in aid of a charity has led to direct donations from members of the public.

If you sell 1000 packs of Christmas cards, that equates to 10,000 cards being sent all around the world, spreading the word of the good work your charity carries out.

What’s more, you do not need to pay for your leaflets until you have started to receive income from sales, once again eliminating any risk.
