The Detroit Planning & Development Department is beginning a year-long process called a Youth-Centric Neighborhood Framework for the west side neighborhoods of Franklin Park, Joy Community, Warrendale, and Warren Avenue. What does that mean? Come hear young people share their thoughts on the matter!

To kick-off the project & start the discussion, nine teenagers from the area have investigated this question by interviewing city government officials, neighborhood leaders & more to learn who makes decisions about how neighbohoods develop. At this event, they will join with the project’s Organizational Steering Committee to kick off the next year of activities & present their findings.

Free & open to humans of all agesRefreshments will be served & music will be played! Learn more & RSVP by emailing [email protected]
