• The government and the people of Tango started its overall economic reform in the mid 1970s. Before that time, the economy of the country was in ruins. To solve the problems economic reforms were applied in some sectors of the economy. In particular, the Tango government have introduced new and advanced farming techniques, which helped to bring back higher yields for farmers. Fishermen have been lent more money to buy ships and modern equipment for off-shore fishing.

Forests have been protected and preserved byplanting more trees. Thanks to domestic and foreign investments, factories bought high-techmachines to increase productivity. The buildingindustry was also in great demand because the higher the living conditions. More people wanted to live in new houses full ofconvenience and of higher qualities. New measures in economic reforms helped farmers and factories produce not only enough for domestic consumption but also for export.
