Hello Chefs,
February may be a short month but that didn't stop the Worldchefs family from accomplishing so much. Well done to our many chefs around the
world who participated in culinary competitions, humanitarian work, sustainability programs, educational seminars, and all the action that brings
pride to the chef jacket.
We kicked off the Global Chefs Challenge Regional Semi-Finals this month in Rimini, Italy. Special thanks to the Federazione Italiana Cuochi for
organizing a fantastic Semi-Final for Europe selection. For more information on the competition and results, scroll to the feature below.

NEWS FROM WORLDCHEFS
Congratulations to all competitors of
the Global Chefs Challenge Europe
Regional Semi-Final, held in Rimini, Italy,
16-19 February. Gold medalists secured for
their countries a coveted opportunity to
compete at the Global Chefs Challenge
Finals during the 2020 Worldchefs Congress
in St. Petersburg, Russia. Follow this link for

The Food Heroes Challenge is a chef-driven
education project for kids. Using a toolkit
developed with
the UNICEF initiative World’s Largest
Lesson, chefs teach a classroom in
their local community sustainable eating
habits. The ready-to-use lesson plan for a
70-minute workshop is designed to
captivate children age 8-12 using activities,
videos, workbook materials and a Food
Hero award. Help inspire the next
generation to eat sustainably. Just an hour
of your time creates a lasting impression to

Throughout February, World Chefs Without
Borders has organized free medical
treatment in Myanmar. Myanmar Chefs
and partners in Bago assisted with
screening and prepared meals for medical
staff, volunteers and 250 patients daily, as
well as followers living at the local
monastery. In Bago alone, 90 operations
were performed and over 30 patients were
sent to facilities in Yangon for further
treatment. Sincerest of thanks to all
doctors, volunteers, ministries, and chefs
for their remarkable efforts. The next team
of doctors is preparing for 2 weeks at a
medical aid camp in Hpa An, WCWB's first
project in the Kayin State. Interested in
