3 Thanks to All Who Hosted Lemonade on the Lawn

The Fellowship Committee wants to

thank the many people who provided

refreshments during the summer months

for Lemonade on the Lawn. This special

time was an opportunity for fellowship

and visitation under a beautiful canopy

of trees. Thanks to everyone who helped

in any way, and especially those who provided food

and beverages for the weekly fellowship event.

Thanks again, and we look forward to a wonderful

season next year!

Heritage Sunday October 14 Looking ahead to October, Hebron’s annual Heritage

Sunday will be held October 14, with a covered-dish

lunch to follow morning worship. Meats/main courses

and beverages will be provided by the church, and

members are asked to bring side dishes or desserts.

Other activities are also planned, so be on the lookout

for updates and more information, and plan to join us

on Sunday, Oct. 14!

The next Stated Session Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Aug 22, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.

The blessings and prayer concerns of the congrega-tion, friends, and relatives were shared by Session for corporate and individual prayer.

The meeting was adjourned with prayer by the mod-erator at 8:22 p.m.

A workday will be held at the Hebron Scout Hut on Saturday, Sept. 21, beginning at 10:00 a.m. to clean out the building and distribute memorabilia.

The Scouting Program has ended at Hebron because we have neither the youth wishing to become Cub Scouts or Boy Scouts, nor adults to serve as Scout Leaders. The scouting accounts have been closed and monies returned to the church.

On the workday and at other times, the Commitment/Witness Committee plans to take down the Scout Hut sign, change the locks on the doors, and distribute to any other Scout groups any items or materials that can be used for Scouting activities. What is expected to

lated since 1959. Framed pictures of Hebron Scouts receiving their Eagle rank are on the wall of the Hut and will be boxed until addresses can be located and they can be returned to the Scout.

By the end of the workday, it is hoped that the Scout Hut will be vacant except for the desks, file cabinets, electric stove, and microwave, which can be used by other groups.

After it is cleaned and emptied, the building can then be made available to other Christian and/or non-profit groups who may need a place to meet and conduct their program. For example, the Augusta County 4-H has activities in our Fellowship Hall that could take place in the Scout Hut.
