– Jesus Christ is your High Priest now• You now have rest in Him—therefore rest in Him
– Jesus Christ is a perfect High Priest• In the order of Melchizedek
• Unlike those that had to sacrifice for their own sin
• They still standing, Christ Jesus is now sitting at the right hand of God
– God has better things for you• Avoid the peril of falling away
– Look at Melchizedek and the old Priesthood• Now useless, because we have a new hope—the ideal High Priest
• Through a new and better covenant
– Christ Jesus has a better ministry• Because His Covenant is better
– Promised by God—it’s now here in Christ Jesus
– A new and better Covenant• Not the blood of animals
• But Christ Himself—flesh and blood
• Not through a temple made by men
• Through the very temple of Jesus
• He entered Heaven with His own blood
• He became the better mediator
– Christ Jesus’ one sacrifice is fully sufficient
– Christ Jesus is the new and living way• Draw near
– Christ or judgment
– Without faith it is impossible to know Christ or please God• Look at those who have demonstrated their faith in God
– Jesus is our example of this faith• For the joy set before Him—He endured the cross
• He perfected our faith
– When you are under the discipline of God• Remember Jesus
• Remember that God disciplines those He loves
• See to it that no one comes short of His grace
– Recognize your new Mountain City—Zion • Don’t camp at Mount Sinai once again
• Enter the City of the Living God
• Grace not law
• Church of the first-born and all the assembly
