HAZON: The Jewish Intentional Communities Conference is a forum to develop a “community of practice,” where we get to
share our resources with each other. We will gain skills and knowledge from each other as we look to strengthen our own
communities. As a whole retreat group, we will engage in a facilitated exercise in mapping the many models of Jewish intentional
community as an ecosystem – examining how various styles of community each contribute to the larger, interconnected world of

TEAM LIFELINE: We are getting ready for the Miami half marathon with Team lifeline, on 1/29/2017 to raise funds for the
children of Chai Lifeline . These funds help put smiles on the faces of 5,000 children and families helped by Chai Lifeline.

SEFARIM GEMACH: Newly formed sefarim gemach based in Utopia Parkway Jewish Center is seeking out unused sefarim that
people would like to see put to good use. Sefarim will be sold at a discount of at least 75% off retail price and all proceeds will go
to Tomchei Shabbos of Queens. We will come to you to take the sefarim that we believe will sell. We do not take anything for
Geniza. Examples of the kinds of sefarim that people find useful are the English Hebrew translations of Tanach, Artscroll,
Gemarot, full sets of all Hebrew books, sets of Shulchan Aruch, Shas, Halachah, books on commentaries, famous personalities,
etc... If interested please call Rabbi Moskowitz at 516-220-7177 or reach him by email at [email protected]. You may
also drop any sefarim you would like to donate at SAR Academy at the front security guard desk and leave it for Rabbi Moskowitz.
