WHY ATTEND HEARTS AFLAME?

THE HEARTS AFLAME EUCHARISTIC CONGRESSIn our Catholic tradition, a “Eucharistic Congress” is a special gathering led by the bishop focused on our Lord Jesus in the Eucharist. It is a time of joy, fellow-ship, prayer, and unity.

The day will be held at the historic Shrine in Auries-ville (which holds 10,000 people) and will include:

• Mass with the bishop• Inspirational speakers• Activities for Children and Youth• Eucharistic Adoration & Procession• Tours of the Shrine• Witness talks from ordinary lay people• Fellowship & unity with other Catholics

The bishop asks that parishes be proactive in coordi-nating large groups of parishioners to attend.

Register at: www.rcda.org/heartsaflame

“In recent years, smaller gatherings at the Shrine—which have been very powerful—have convinced me that the time is right for a large diocesan gathering.... My hope is that the Holy Spirit will make this day a powerful time of spiritual renewal for our entire diocese.”

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?All Catholics in the diocese are invited: families, seniors, teens, young adults, and children! We also welcome guests from other faith traditions.

IS IT WORTH THE TRIP?Yes! The Shrine alone, with its beautiful grounds and rich history, is definitely a “must-see.” More important-ly, we are working hard to prepare a powerful spiritual program for children, teens, and adults. Participants should expect to be inspired!
