In addition to our EcoTeam range, HealthTeam also supplies more than 200 Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) branded environmental products. All the products within this range have been assessed and selected by us to ensure they come from manufacturing processes that have a low ecological impact on the environment and are used, on a day-to-day basis, by our healthcare customers.

If you can’t find what you need, we have a team of passionate problem-solvers dedicated to helping you source unusual, non-standard, non-catalogue items – no matter how obscure. If there is sufficient annual demand for it, we’ll allocate it a unique code and stock it in our warehouse so it’s available on a next day basis.

PRINT MANAGEMENT

PrintTeam offers a highly flexible and professional service across multimedia channels, making the management of your print requirements both cost efficient and easier to control.

PrintTeam works closely with our healthcare customers, delivering £9 million worth of print products every year. We design a tailor-made, end-to-end print service package to suit individual budgets and business needs. An end-to-end solution will reduce the likelihood of mistakes, wastage and overstocking, cutting unnecessary costs.

There isn’t a document we can’t print for you; from health and safety and training manuals to templates you amend and print on demand. We can also manage your print stock for you, reducing wastage, obsolescence and, ultimately, cost.

We offer core environmental print options, including FSC accredited and recycled paper and will deliver your print in recycled and recyclable packaging. Our recycled paper products are produced through our paper recycling initiative Close the Loop.

HealthTeam is dedicated to reducing the packaging waste we use in our delivery service. Therefore, instead of supplying products to our customers in cardboard boxes, which creates waste and cannot be reused easily, we will, where possible, deliver supplies in 100% biodegradable recycled paper bags.

Sustainable packaging

By introducing sustainable packaging bags into our delivery process, we have saved over one million boxes from going to landfill each year.

Everything we talk about and offer, we practise ourselves through our own internal initiatives.

HealthTeam is licensed with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier and provides a free of charge collection service for empty cartridges, allowing our customers to recycle empty cartridges using our free of charge collection boxes. We provide all relevant documentation including a Waste Carrier License and Annual Waste Transfer Notes upon collection.

Typically we will collect your waste at the same time as delivering your office supplies, providing you with a convenient waste solution and reducing your carbon footprint.

HealthTeam provides a convenient battery recycling service, collecting your batteries at the same time as delivering to you. In turn, our battery provider collects the used batteries for recycling from our warehouses when making their next delivery to us.

Upon delivery of new furniture purchased through us, we’ll manage the removal and recycling of your old items. All furniture is either donated to charity or recycled for further use.

The 2007 W.E.E.E. Regulations stipulate how you should dispose of your electrical equipment. HealthTeam will collect and dispose of your equipment in accordance with the W.E.E.E. Directive and ensure it is recycled fully and responsibly.

For your complete peace of mind, all company references and security markings can be removed and all data is permanently deleted using the latest overwriting software.

HEALTHTEAM WORKING WITH NORFOLK & NORWICH NHS

OverviewNNUH were having issues with their previous supplier delivering to Goods In, as all the consignments were not properly labelled. This meant hours had to be spent searching each box, booking them in individually, plus sorting and distributing them to all 400 wards and offices. Overall this would take five days and wasted time and resource. NNUH required a supplier that was capable of resolving its internal logistic issues as well as offer savings across a multiple range of goods.

The solutionOfficeTeam operates a national logistics network, offering local service through our 20 local distribution centres which are supported by three regional distribution centres. This setup enables us to distribute and deliver goods to our customers in the fastest and most efficient way possible.

Our ability to adapt our services and delivery capabilities to NNUH’s specification helped us win the business. As we already offer desk-to-desk deliveries to our customers, many of whom have multiple delivery sites across one location. Offering this service to a hospital was a different challenge altogether and the prospect of delivering to over 400 locations could prove beyond most suppliers.

Another priority for NNUH was our flexibility in tailoring our delivery services according to customers’ requirements and offer real service solutions whilst improving efficiencies and creating cost saving opportunities.

Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals (NNUH) is a teaching NHS Foundation Trust which operates hospitals in Norfolk, England. The trust was first established in February 1994 and today has over 6,000 staff.

NNUH plays an important role in teaching and training a range of health professionals and has close partnerships with University of East Anglia, City College Norwich and University Campus Suffolk.

Who is NNUH?

The outcomeWith the support of our Bury St Edmunds customer service team and logistics infrastructure, we were able to successfully implement the contract in just over two weeks. An SLA was established ensuring our continued provision of the service which encompassed delivery, customer service and contract management.

Because of our continued success, the contract has gone from strength to strength. Initially it was a £120k contract but it has increased to a £1.9m basket of goods which now covers all non-medical supplies. We have completely streamlined the process of implementing new categories of products to the point where we are confident of identifying new product opportunities and, within the space of two weeks, creating completely new supply chains, bringing in the stock and supplying everything next day; and whatever product we supply, it is always direct to the ward.

With our enhanced service we still manage to offer savings on every product category. We improved their delivery and internal efficiencies, transferred savings across all baskets while still maintaining a completely sustainable service.
