The Ontario Safety Association for Community and Healthcare (OSACH) with the assistance ofa select group of our stakeholders and safety partners, has developed a tool to assist you indetermining an estimate of the cost of ONE injury in your workplace.

This tool was designed specifically to incorporate all of the direct cost factors that yourorganization could encounter when a workplace injury or disease occurs. We recognize thateach organization has unique circumstances and we therefore have attempted to include asmany variables as possible. In the event that the tool contains a cost that is not applicable toyour organization, ignore it and move on.

We hope this tool will be of benefit to you when presenting a business case for enhancingyour Occupational Health and Safety program.
