Farm Safety Code of Practice
training courses will take place
at a centre near you from
October 2018 onwards.
It is a legal requirement to
complete and update the Farm
Safety Code of Practice or to
prepare a safety statement.
New codeA revised code with a green
cover came into operation on
July 1, 2017. The old version is
being phased out over a period
of 18 months from that date.
This means that all persons will
have to complete the revised
version by December 31, 2018.

completed either the half-day
Farm Safety Code of Practice
course (given by Teagasc or
other trained persons), or the
QQI Level 6 Advanced
Certificate in Agriculture
(Green Cert.) within the last
five years prior to submission
of a payment claim.
