This Week
Digital Group
We meet this week on Thursday,
21st April at 7.30pm at ClainesRoyal British Legion, Cornmead-
ow Lane, Worcester.
You should have received your
email reminder from Martin that
this will also be the last chance
to provide images for the 2015
e-yearbook. You can see previous
volumes here.
All members are welcome!
Karen says it’s time to update the Camera Club’s website with something
more seasonal. Please send your images to [email protected].
The dimensions are 850 by 345 pixels (which also happens to be ideal
for the header image of WCC News!). If you’d like to know how to crop to
that specific size there’s a new tutorial on the website, for both Light-
room and Photoshop, here...

not already sold out) to get your
tickets from Anne Burrows for the
supper before the Annual Show
next week (£5).
The Midland Region Print & PDI Club Championships
2
These were held on Saturday at Braunstone – we entered both competitions joining 23 other clubs from the
region.
We fared better with the PDIs, coming joint 9th with 179 points, so only narrowly missing out on getting
through to the second round. We did not do so well with Prints scoring 175 points and 15th place. The Print
marking was overall much higher; I feel this may explain why with similar scores in both competitions there
was a big difference in the final placings.
I would like to thank all the members whose work contributed to our entry – including those whose work was
not used.
The images that were scored on Saturday are listed below. The format of these competitions is such that we
have to list additional work - as clubs always hope to get through to the second round when the additional
images will be needed.

Welcome to Geoff Powell
I've been dabbling with photography for 10-15 years
with a leaning towards wildlife more than anything
else. I'm semi-retired, leaving behind computing and
now just working weekends in the summer serving
noodles. Moving from Oxford to Evesham which is
how I ended up at WCC.Geoff
A warm WCC welcome to Geoff and his fine nature trio!
I can never resist a crownbird (crowned crane). Ed.
