Locating the Helmet Posts:

1. Remove cheek pads from helmet.See diagram a

7. Re-check all measurements and make sure the washer nut clears any solid foaminside the helmet and uniform measurements are maintained on both sides. See diagram h

3. Mark 3” horizontal line of the rear center of helmet on masking tape 1 3/4” from bottom of the helmet. See diagram b

4. Using a exible ruler, measure from shield pivot point (or chin strap rivets) to the 1 3/4” line on masking tape on both sides of the helmet. See diagram cDetermine an equal measurement from both shield pivots and mark a vertical line as it intersects the horizontal line on the tape. See diagram d The middle of both lines is the helmet center line. See diagram ec d e

5. Place masking tape on both sides of the helmet. Mark a line 1 3/4” on the tape. See diagram f

6. From the center line point measure 6” to the marked line on the tape.Repeat process on opposite side of helmet. See diagram g

8. Using a 1/4” drill marked point on side of helmet. See diagram i

9. Place washer nut over the hole inside the helmet. Use Screw Driver to locate See diagram j and h

10. Thread the post on washer nut and tighten snuggly. Do Not over tighten as it may cause damage to the helmet. See diagram k

Final Fitting of Restraint:

1. Put chest unit on, clip on front snap and tighten adjuster. Unit must t chest and shoulders securely to work effectively.

2. Sit in race car with chest unit, neck support with helmet on and front and rear straps installed.

Due to seating situations, sometimes it is necessary to trim the neck support if it hinders the position of the helmet(pushing up in the front). The foam can be easily removed from the cover and cut with a serrated knife to achieveoptimum sizing.

3. Secure shoulder strap tabs and front post strap in seat belt buckle and adjust tight. Straps should be as tight as 3. 4. When unit is completely installed and secured in the seat belts, there should be 1” of forward movement.

1. Place masking tape over front center of helmet and mark 2” horizontal line.

2. Measure equal points on both shield pivot posts to the horizontal line on front andmark those points on the tape to establish center.

3. Gently remove foam chin bar from inside of helmet.

4. Using 1/4” bit, drill marked point on front of helmet.

5. Tighten post to washer nut and replace foam chin bar using hot glue or silicone.
