As an added benefit, RBA members who pay their dues by September 1st are now eligible to register for one of the Association’s 2-hour ethics programs at no additional charge. Four ethics seminars will be offered: October 2, 2019, October 22, 2019 and seminars in March and April 2020 (dates TBA). Program details and registration information will be available shortly via our website, social media and blast e-mails. Due to space limitations, registrations will be taken on a first come, first served basis. Should a conflict arise, members who notify the Bar office at least 3 days in advance of a program will be able to re-schedule to a dif- ferent date if space is available. Members who fail to show up without prior notification forfeit their right to re-schedule. Pay your Bar dues by September 1 and receive free ethics CLE President Terrence L. Harman Claytor Corrigan & Wellman welcomes three new lawyers to its Richmond office.

Michael C. Litman and Soroush “Surge” Moghaddassi have joined as Associates. Mr. Litman focuses his practice on the defense of lawsuits involving local governments and

public entities, premises and products liability, motor vehicle liability, and commercial disputes. Mr. Moghaddassi primarily defends cases involving motor vehicle liability, premises

and products liability, and commercial litigation. In addition, Kenneth C. Hirtz has joined as Of Counsel. He will focus his practice on

the defense of motor vehicle, premises, and professional liability, commercial litigation and medical malpractice defense.

Two new lawyers have joined Eckert Seamans’ Richmond office: E. Duffy Myrtetus has become a member in the firm’s Business Division. His practice

concentrates in the areas of business transactions, real estate, and commercial litigation matters.Cody T. Murphey joins the firm’s Litigation Division as an associate. His practice focuses

on commercial litigation, including matters related to regulated and non-regulated utilities.

Williams Mullen announces the addition of attorneys to their Richmond office.Four attorneys have joined the firm’s Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights practice: Michael

Mueller (partner), Jennifer McLemore (partner), Gus Epps (partner), and Bennett Eastham (associate). As a group, they focus their practices on insolvency law and financial restructuring, and they advise commercial creditors, business creditors, banks and credit unions in commer-cial restructuring and collections, insolvency, bankruptcy and bankruptcy litigation matters.

Two lawyers have joined the firm as partners in the Intellectual Property Section: Ed White and Janet Cho focus their practices on intellectual property matters related to domestic and international brand management where they counsel clients on a myriad of matters related to branding, including the clearance, registration, maintenance and acquisi-tion of intellectual property assets.

Daniel E. Lynch is RBA’s 135th PresidentDaniel E. Lynch became the Richmond

Bar Association’s 135th President when he took office on June 1, 2019. In addition to serving two terms on the Association’s Board of Directors, Dan has served on the Execu-tive Committee, the Finance Committee, the Administration of Justice Committee, the CLE Committee, the Long Range Plan-ning Committee, the Publications Com-mittee, and the Public Relations Commit-tee.

Dan is principal of Lynch Seli, P.C., where his practice in-cludes the defense of workers’ compensa-tion claims, motor ve-hicle liability claims, premises liability, and professional liability claims. He has been elected to the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation. Dan is AV

Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and he has been recognized by Virginia Super Lawyers® in workers’ compensation. He is a member of the Virginia Association of De-

fense Attorneys, and the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Amer-ican Inn of Court. He is licensed to prac-tice before all state and federal courts in Virginia and before the U.S. Supreme Court. Dan received a B.B.A. degree from James Madison Uni-versity in 1984, and he is a 1987 graduate of the University of Richmond School of Law. Following law school, he completed a clerkship with the Supreme Court of

Virginia. Dan and his wife, Alice, have one daughter, Caroline, who will be attending James Madison University in the fall.
