Current Scope of Work .

Current Work pieces are Stainless steel Box column which is 6mtr (length) X 1mtr (Width) X 6 inches (Thickness). .

Customer requires to remove all weld seams, condition the surface by removing all imperfections & finish up to Satin/ Mat

finish .

Currently there are approximately 60 pieces which requires to be conditioned & finished. Approximate finishing area to be

covered is 830 – 900 Sq. Mtrs.

It is mandatory to use “INOX” Grinding Disc as the carbon content in

regular grinding discs are extremely high. Micron level deposition of carbon

on stainless steel will lead to bimetallic corrosion of stainless steel. INOX

grinding has a very low carbon composition & is recommended for

stainless steel & all non ferrous metals.

Lamellar Grinding Disc (P80) which is a Zircon Based Abrasive Disc is

used for surface leveling to remove imperfections on the substrate.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

We14-125 INOX PLUS Angle Grinder is Equipped with High Torque (4.2Nm)

& Lower speed range (RPM 2000-7000)

WHY USE INOX Grinders?

Higher RPM will create high temperature which will create a chain reaction in

molecular level causing discolouration & increasing carbon deposition rate

on the work piece

Secondly INOX substrates are lower in tensile strength & is more rigid

compared to Mild steel. Due to surface hardness the consumable wastage is

considerably high. Low RPM will reduce the wastage of consumables while it

save s your cost in the long run.

Zirconia Alumina sanding belts are specially made for smoothing weld

seams & surface conditioning of Stainless steel materials. To be used in

conjunction with Expansion roller

Flap/Nylon Web Wheel is a combination layer of Nylon web & Zirconia

Alumina Sanding sheet. The layer of Zircon sanding sheets provides high

cutting output while the Nylon Web layer removes scratches & creates

satin finish

REMOVAL OF WELD SEAM IN TIGHT ANGLE AREAS .

“FLEXIAMENT SUPER CONVEX ZK” is a Lamellar grinding Disc made of Zirconia Alumina for smoothing,

conditioning & cleaning stainless steel. The low carbon content material has a high cutting output & a very long

service life.

1. ZK 60 (P60) is first used to remove Weld seam in angled corner

2. ZK80 (P80) is used on the second term for smoothing & flattening weld seam

In tight angle (43 Degrees) corners it is extremely difficult to remove, flatten or smooth weld seams. Regular angle

grinders have limitations & they can not reach confined angle spaces in the range of 40 – 45Degrees due to the

height of the Gear Housing. Currently pencil grinders, manual wire brushes or pneumatic chiseling are used for this

application but it consumes a lot of time & the end user is not able to get a perfect finish.

The WEF9-125 is Quick, Easy & safe to use in such confined spaces & is the best option.
