Principal’s Message A special thank you to all of the families that at-tended All Pro Dads! We tripled our numbers and had an awesome speaker encouraging us to support each other. We look forward to our March’s Marvelous Marshmallow Meeting. In this All Pro Dad event, we will have several hands-on activities that will challenge our stu-dents and supportive males to work together. Join us for this fun, interactive opportunity and spend quality time together! The date will be shared soon. Have a wonderful weekend! Mr. Butler
OUTDOOR RECESS…...School Board and School policy encourage outdoor recess for our K-4 students whenever possible to encourage activity and social playtime. Our threshold for cold weather is 20 de-
grees. When the temperature falls below 20, students will have recess indoors. The 20 degree temperature would also include wind chill. In other words, if the
temperature is 25 but the wind chill falls below 20 de-grees, students would remain indoors for recess. If
students are not feeling well or parents want them to stay in for health reasons beyond 1-2 days, a doctor's
note is required.
News From the Nurse…
If your child has borrowed uniforms from the school, please
launder and return them to school. If you child has outgrown
uniforms, the school is in need of gently-used school uniforms.
Please consider donating them to the school. Thank You!

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION Another school year is another opportunity to raise money for our school by collecting Box Tops. These Box Tops can be found on many of your favorite products. Our playground was paid for in part by the thousands of Box Tops collected from our generous Hawthorne families! The classroom that brings in the most Box Tops will receive a special celebration in appreciation. We have a winner every quarter, so start saving those Box Tops and your student’s class could be our next winner!
PTA DRIVE FOR FIVE
We would like to increase our ability to support stu-
dents with different activities. In order to do so, we
will have fundraisers once a month in our drive to
raise $5000. Each opportunity will be $1 or less and
proceeds will go directly to student focused events.
Please keep an eye out for the fun opportunities com-
ing soon.
