Second place payout was $186.

Coming in fourth place was Tim and John Dring. They brought 10 bass to the scale for a total weight of 15.60 pounds. Fourth place payout was $94.

Terry and Lori Stanek took fifth place with 10 bass weighing 14.39 pounds. Fourth place payout was $64.

I apologize for missing photos of the 2nd and 3rd place teams.

I’m sure it must be age related memory loss.

2012 RaceCurrent Top Ten Anglers: 1. Bryan Slaughter / 171, 2. Mike Parmentier / 166, 3. Terry Stanek / 125, 4. Greg Shands / 124, 5. Scotty Crady / 122, 6. Andy Shands / 121, 7. Scott Hasty / 114, 8. Bob Treadway / 106, 9. John Dring / 103, 10. Larry Rutledge / 102.

Big Bass leader is Bryan Slaughter with a 6.22 pound Lake of the Ozarks bass.

Special EventsOur special event for Rend Lake will be a washer tournament and we thought it would be fun if there was a chance to win some money. The cost will be $5 per team with a payout to the first and second place teams with 40% of the prize money to second place and 60% to first place. Now don’t start looking for a washer partner because teams will be the same as the tournament teams. That’s right, you’ll be throwing washers with your fishing partner. Teams will play against each other and the winning teams will advance to the next round. You’ll have a few weeks to practice and try to step up your game. Brings your drinks and lawn chairs. We will send out further information on the message board, Facebook and via email about the time and location.

When And WhereOur next tournament is September 8 - 9 at Rend Lake. We will be taking off out of the Gun Creek Ramp. Tournament hours on Saturday are 6:30 am- 2:30 pm (note this is an 8 hour session) and Sunday 6:30 am to 12:30 pm. Tournament directors: Saturday - Shands/Shands, Sunday - Hasty/Slaughter.

DirectionsTo Rend Lake Gun Creek Ramp:

From Hwy 255 & Hwy 64 take I 64 east (exit 120) toward Louisville for 71 miles. Take I 57 south toward Memphis for 14 miles. Turn right on IL-154 (exit 77) toward Sesser. Take the second left onto Gun Creek Trail and then turn right on Golf Course Road.

NEXT TOURNAMENT REND LAKERemindersIf you are fishing Rend don’t forget your IL fish-ing license. The out of state license can be pur-chased anywhere fishing licenses are sold. Benton Walmart is one location. Here are the prices for out of state licenses. 1 day license is $5.50, 10 day license is $20.00, annual license is $31.00. You can also purchase a license online at www.dnr.illinois.gov/fishing/Pages/default.aspx. And be sure to get your Rend entry to Dan by Wednesday, September 5 to avoid a late entry fee.

We still need tournament directors for the Lake of the Ozarks tournament. Tournament Directors are awarded three points for serving (one addi-tional point if serving more than one time). We re-ally appreciate members helping out. If you would like to volunteer to be a tournament director please contact any of your officers.

We are now accepting nominations for 2013 offi-cers. If you think you might be interested but are not sure about the duties for each position, you can find all the information you need on the web site. On the drop down menu for “Membership” click on “Club By-Laws” and look at Article III - OFFI-CERS AND DUTIES. If you have any questions or want to volunteer to be an officer for 2013 con-tact one of the 2012 officers.
