Hate Crime Confer-
We had our hate crime
conference on 14th May 2015. It was
really well attended with over 100
people. We aimed to help staff, carers
and people with Learning Difficulties
understand what a Hate Crime is and
what to do if they experience this.
We want people to tell us if something
happens to them because of their
disability.
Some examples
of hate crime
involve;
Being called bad
names because
you have a disability, Someone taking
you things and pretending to be your
friend.

We’ve had an amazing turnout of 22
members who learned about all aspects
about healthy living. This course ran for
11 sessions and it covered subjects from
Healthy Eating, Cancers, Diabetes,
Strokes, Heart Diseases, Oral Hygiene
and Exercises and what can be done to prevent these developing and maintaining a
healthy life. Everybody was tested for Diabetes. And everybody was okay with their
sugar levels. Also people were checked for their Blood Pressure and this was also
okay.
This is our 11th year running this course of which 222 have attended.
We would like to thank everybody who attended, all volunteers who supported us also

I have been a volunteer with One to One for the last couple of years
taking part in several of One to One activities each month.
Since August 2014 I have started befriending Paul. Paul and I both
like walking and so we decided that we meet each Monday morning and
go for a walk. We usually go to Enfield Town Park or to Whitewebbs. We have made
friends on these outings and stop for a chat with them. We always stop at the park
cafe and have a drink and snack. Here is a recent photo of me and Paul at
