    1. (1)These bye-laws may be called the Haryana Municipal (Regulation of Salc.of ~ c a t )Byelaws, 1976.(2) They shall apply to all the municipalities.

    ' 2. In these bye-laws, unless theeontext othenvi'se q u i r e s , - . ,(a) "form" means a form appended to these bye-laws; and(b) "Licensing Officer"means an Officer appointedas such by a committee. -3. No pema shall d l meat in a municipality except under a licencegranted in this behalfby theLicensing Officer.4. No person shall sellmat, r prepareor exposemeat for sale in premises other thanchose

    licensed by a committee in this behalf.5. (1 ) NO premises shall be licensed for the sale o r preparation or expos& for sale of meat:-(a) unless they have floor made of bricks, stone, cement or other impervious materials,(b) nless the walls and ~ i l i n gn properly plastered and lime-washed;(c) unlessthey are provided with adequate light and ventilation to the satisfaction of the ~ i -censing Officer;(d) unlessprovided with a sink for washingmeat, implements, receptacles, vessels or otherthmgs used for the preparation and sale of meat;(e) unless they areprovided with a dram and the whole floor isso slopedas mallow all liq-u ~ do flow off by the dram to the city sewen or dramage system: .

    (f)unless a deep freeze is provided for the storage of meat, the l i c e n s y officer may givea notice of six months to all licensees in municipalities of [A class] to enable the ex-isting licensees to get such deep freezer installed,(g) if then is only direct communication between the premises and anyroomused a livingor sleeping room;(h) unless they are situated on a site or in ebuilding tran sfam i by the conunittee or Im-movement Trust for the purpose or m a locahty approved by the commmee :

The licence shall be renewable within a period of -(i) thirty days, if it was issued for a period of one year, or(ii) seven days if it was issuedfor a period of kssthano m year, before its expiry on pay-ment of fee at the above rates.

    7.
