USA Chess has been teaching children from beginners to experienced tournament chess players for over 15 years.Our staff is carefully selected both for their ability to play (all are experienced tournament players) and to teach thegame in a fun, entertaining and interesting way.

Children of all ages and abilities will be taught the game of chess from experienced tournament players. Lessons are tailoredto the abilities of the class. Beginners will be taught the basics (how the pieces move, the rules, etc. ) while more experiencedplayers will be given problems to solve, lessons in tactics, checkmates, openings, etc. Children will be split into groups byability if more than 20 children enroll.

This hands-on course is designed for children who love art or want or need to explore their creativity. Learn how to sew, stitch, measure, and cut fabric. This hands-on class will teach students the basics of working with fibermaterials. Students will learn the various sewing techniques to create wall hangings, purses, dolls, and much more. Eachproject will require two or three sessions to complete.

Julia was born in Manhattan and studied at St. John's School until midway through her sophomore year, graduatingfrom Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in the Vocal Department. In 2013, she graduated fromthe University of Houston College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, with atriple minor in English Literature, Human Food Studies and Nutrition, and Interdisciplinary Art, emphasis in Theatreand Dance. Growing up in a musical family, with both parents as musicians and Juilliard graduates, and older sister,an actress, singer, dancer, Julia has been performing since her younger years. She is pursuing a career in the artsand is involved in big band performances, jazz gigs, stage plays, and musicals. She is also a Yoga teacher with plansto counsel in the fields of nutrition and holistic health & medicine. Teaching in her areas of expertise is one of herpassions and aligns with the creative work she pursues in her daily life.

Private voice lessons are centered around allowing your child to freely express their creativity, while learning the structure ofsong. telling the story of each song is the most important aspect of the lesson, as the technical vocal aspects of warm ups, eartraining, tone, and vocal health & awareness are interwoven into each lesson. American Robotics Academy’s mission is to excite, inspire, and motivate young people about the fun, importanceand impact of robotics technology in today's world. Our classes teach students to understand "how things work"through hands-on activities that demonstrate the principles of simple and motorized machines. They gain experiencewith design and problem solving through the use of gears, motors, wheels and axles, pulleys, and remote controldevices. Working in teams, students learn a variety of ways to design a robot to do the things they want it to do.They decide and build, as a team, the best design of their robot for the competition to be held at the end of eachclass session.

The speed of a race, the competition of a battle, and the pressure of the clock… it’s a Robo-Roller Derby rumble! Lego robotstake on a new set of hurdles as they duke it out on the track. Race the stop-watch and each other to be the first to complete allyour laps without being torn apart in the challenge. Foul play is fair game in Robo-Roller Derby.

HITS Theatre is a nonprofitorganization with two major goals for children in the arts: education and performance. However, a HITS educationinvolves much more than learning to sing, dance and act. It helps transform students into disciplined team players,creative thinkers, and confident communicators. While many of our alumni have gone on to careers in the performingarts, many more have used the life skills and confidence they developed at HITS to become successful in othercareers, including medicine, law and business.
