Harrods Recruitment launched in 2012 with just one recruiter. It now comprises a skilled team of experts, each handpicked for their

experience within both Harrods and external agencies, where they have been responsible for placing specialist sales associates, managers and directors.

PERSONALISED SERVICEAt the beginning of the process, we will ask you to provide a job brief, which we’ll then use to build a bespoke recruitment plan. We will then devise tailor-made assessment centres in accordance with your brand and role requirements.

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCEWe work to create a positive applicant experience, ensuring your brand is represented in the correct way. Each candidate will be assigned a specialist team member as their point of contact, who will be able to provide support, detailed feedback and advice. Suitable candidates will be store-approved to Harrods’ standards prior to you meeting with them.

RETAIL RECRUITMENTWe provide retail recruitment across fashion, beauty, fine jewellery, homewares and accessories, covering all positions from sales associates to senior management on both permanent and fixed-term bases.

CAMPAIGN RECRUITMENTWe are able to create a recruitment campaign, focusing on filling a set number of roles within a specific time period. A previous example of this was the recruitment of 30 permanent sales associates and four concession managers for Kurt Geiger in just three months, in time for the launch of Harrods Shoe Heaven. LEARNINGOnce an employee joins the store, our Learning & Development team offers continued support and training. As well as providing the opportunity to attend courses alongside Harrods employees, we can organise specialised sessions for your concession that are custom-made to your skills requirements.

OUR TOOLKIT

We promote our roles via our @HarrodsCareers Twitter account and the Harrods LinkedIn page, which, combined, have more than 70,000 followers. Custom copy is created by our dedicated in-house copywriting and social media team; the latter then analyses and tracks online communities in order to deliver bespoke content to desired candidates. Our social media presence continues to grow daily, consistently delivering high-quality candidates.

Every search we conduct is tailored to your needs. A specialist recruiter is assigned to your roles, translating your brief into an active headhunt. Our LinkedIn licences allow us to conduct advanced searches based on specific skills and experience, while our large network – which includes industry-specific colleges, schools and language groups – grants us exclusive access to some of the best candidates in the industry.

All our candidates are screened by an objective situational judgement test, which enables us to make informed hiring decisions. The talent screener we use was created specif ically for us by CEB; it measures candidates against our requirements, and provides them with a realistic preview of the role.

Our assessment centres are centred around a robust competency framework, and all our assessors are professionally trained to ensure an unbiased and consistent process. Candidates are not only offered a seamless and professional recruitment experience – with thorough feedback provided throughout – but are also store-approved during the assessment centre to help accelerate the recruitment process.

Jenna DaviesResourcing Manager

The driving force behind the Harrods Recruitment vision, Jenna has seven years of retail recruitment experience, including five at Harrods. With a diverse background in recruitment across all levels, ranging from Fine Jewellery and Fashion Accessories to Furniture and Personal Shopping, Jenna is equipped with an unrivalled knowledge of Harrods and the luxury retail industry.

Alexandra MasonBusiness Development Executive

Alexandra’s luxury retail and wholesale background, combined with 360-degree agency experience, has provided her with real industry insight. Her key areas of focus are Fashion Accessories, Fine Jewellery, Beauty, Homewares and Furniture, working with brands including Chanel, Harry Winston and Devialet to name but a few.

Kate OrlowskiBusiness Development Executive

A founding member of Harrods Recruitment, Kate has an impressive list of achievements that includes establishing the team’s Fashion division, and spearheading the Harrods Shoe Heaven recruitment campaign. With more than five years’ recruitment experience, both agency and in-house, Kate has built an impressive wealth of retail knowledge.

Stephanie JemmettRecruiter

Stephanie’s Harrods journey began on the shop floor with three years in the Chanel concession – starting as a fashion advisor and progressing to become an administrator for the Accessories department. After a role in luxury fashion recruitment for a competing agency, she re-joined the Harrods group in 2015 as a recruiter.

Laura PattenRecruiter

Psychology graduate Laura was drawn to recruitment because of its people-oriented nature. Her previous roles have included the hectic field of temporary recruitment, and she joined Harrods as a recruiter in 2014. Laura’s focus is on ensuring an exceptional candidate journey, sourcing candidates for all levels through direct searches and applications.

OUR PROCESS

We will meet with you to fully understand your role requirements and brand values. Together, we’ll establish an in-depth candidate specification and devise the most effective recruitment strategy.

Our copywriter will create a branded advertisement which will be sent to you for approval. Once approved, it will be featured on the Harrods Careers website, our social media channels and any agreed job boards.

We will conduct video, telephone and/or one-to-one interviews, and also host bespoke assessment centres.

While the candidates experience a personalised recruitment journey, we will be tailoring our sourcing strategy to both your needs and the Harrods competencies.

You will receive a shortlist of candidates pre-approved by Harrods. Should you wish to conduct interviews at this stage, we can arrange this on your behalf. Alternatively, we can facilitate a final-stage assessment centre where you will meet a group of eight candidates for 90 minutes.

You provide your feedback, which will determine our next step. If you select a candidate, we will offer them the role, confirm a start date and book them into a Harrods Welcome session.

You will arrange the new employee’s contract and any brand-specific training that they require.
