Melbourne was settled in 1835. It sits at the northern tip of Port Phillip Bay, itselfadorned by long sandy beaches. At over 80 km from north to south and a similar
width it allows one to travel away from the heart of the city, where one can take

The heart of the city
Some visitors never venture far from the centre of Melbourne. The CBD wasestablished on the northern bank of the Yarra River. It is rectangular in shape,
being one mile long and half a mile wide with a grid pattern of steets connected
by laneways and arcades which one can explore. Melbourne is the shopping
capital of Australia amongst many other things.....
