HELLO TO ALL OF MY EAGLE SISTERS!!! I sure hope that everyone is staying nice and warm with this crazy weather that we are having. The "flu bug" is around everywhere. I've had it twice now. Please take care of yourselves and check on those neighbors of yours. Sure do hope that everyone attended their Prep Meetings for this upcoming Spring Zone Conferences. Wishing all a wonderful time and remember, it's time to listen and learn. We had our set-up meeting for State Convention and I am really excited for this coming June. Congratulations to all that won monies at my hubby’s, "Jim Bess", 42 Drawing. Without all of you, it just wouldn't be possible. Thank You, Brenda and Linda Nobile, for the fantastic job you both did. Also thank you to everyone who donated in any way to make this a success (THANK YOU, CADIZ #2162, FOR HOSTING!) You are all doing a GREAT job signing up those new ornaments. Let's keep on working on it. We are still the leader of all the states for the Auxiliaries. YIPPY!! I will be heading to a few Auxiliaries for their Anniversaries and looking forward to it. I so enjoy visiting EVERYONE. I am asking again, PLEASE let's not forget to dig in our pockets and donate towards our charities. OHIO STATE EAGLES RECREATION PARK

As most of you know, the Ohio State Eagles’ Rec Park is one of our Worthy State President, Joe Horn’s, projects this year. His goal is to pay off the mortgage. Our Madam President, Minda Bess, is also a continued supporter of the park.

With this in mind, I am asking all Ohio State Auxiliaries to consider donating to the Park. It’s a great family campground with lots of fun to be had, but this wonderful park is in need of some updates.

All donations will be greatly appreciated and put to great use!!!

RESCARE HOMES VISITATION – APRIL 7, 2018

Saturday, April 7, 2018, 11:00 a.m. We will be visiting the Cadiz and Carrollton homes. Please meet at the Cadiz Eagles no later than 10:30 a.m. From there we will visit the Cadiz Home for lunch for about an hour, then on to Carrollton for dessert. I hope many of you can attend! ONE WAY FARM VISITATION – APRIL 21, 2018 Greetings, Sisters, from your Musical Note for One Way Farm. Our visitation this year will be on April 21, 2018. This year will be very different from years past. Mrs. Condo retired this pastNovember, so this visit will be to honor her for all her years of service to the children. I met with Sabrina Smith who is the acting administrator at the moment. The itinerary will be as follows: The Eagles will meet at 11:00 a.m. for our business meeting. At noon there will be an Open House as part of the celebration for Mrs. Condo. More than just the Eagles will be there at that time. There will be snacks, finger food, and drinks, but not a meal as we have known in the past. At Christmas time their donations were way down. Items that are desperately needed are: 1. Gas cards. There is no bus service to get the children to school—they must be driven. 2. Pet supplies for cats—these are the only pets they now have. 3. Any laundry detergent but must be liquid.

4. Any type of paper products.I hope to see a lot of Sisters in April with lots of items. I would like to see us bombard them with these items! If you receive an invitation from One Way Farm, please respond. Please note that if you don’t receive an invitation, you are still welcome to attend. Sabrina will keep me posted as to the progress and I will pass it on to Judy for the Buckeye Breeze. Plans for the future are not known at present. Marlene E. Boehme, One Way Farm State Chairman NEXT AUXILIARY OFFICERS & AUDITOR TRAINING CLASS SET!!Our next Auxiliary Officers and Auditor Training Class is scheduled for April 28 & 29, 2018 at Host Auxiliary Lima #370. REMEMBER: ANY Auxiliary Sister in good standing can attend the training—either day or both! You do not have to be an Officer or Auditor. The registration form is included in this Breeze. Deadline for registration is April 15, 2018. Registration both days will be from 9-9:30 a.m. Classes both days will run from 9:30 a.m. until approximately 3:00 p.m. On Saturday, April 28th, we will train on the Auxiliary Auditor and all Auxiliary Officers EXCEPT Secretary. Sunday, April 29th, training will be on the office of Auxiliary Secretary and MMS. If you plan to attend Sunday’s session, bring a laptop with you, if possible, since we will be training on MMS. The only cost to attend the training is for your lunch and your hotel room if you wish to stay the night. If the training would cause a financial burden to any Officer or Auditor needing/wanting the training, we hope her Auxiliary would consider help funding the trip. PLEASE NOTE: No attendee expense will be paid by the Ohio State Auxiliary. Thank you to Janice Shaw for reserving us ten rooms at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, 2179 Elida Road, Lima, 419-224-8496, at the total cost of $101.91 per night. The cut-off for rooms at that price is March 27, 2018.

STATE CONVENTION RITUAL COMPETITION Hi Sisters: It is time again to begin preparing for the upcoming State Convention Ritual Competition. With the help of State Ritual Co-Chairman, Elaine Roesle, we will do our best to have a great convention competition. The decision on where the Ritual Workshop will be held this year has been made. The Workshop will be held at Big Walnut #3261 in Reynoldsburg on May 19th beginning at 10:00 a.m. Big Walnut has spoken to the Days Inn Hotel and they will have rooms available for $80.00 if you are coming in on Friday night and need to stay over. The hotel is located just down the road from the Aerie home at 2100 Brice Road, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. Phone: 614-864-1280. Sisters, this workshop is for anyone that is interested in the Ritual. We would like as many of the judges to attend as possible. This is a very important tool for all and I hope it will be taken advantage of. Elaine and I hope to see many of you in May and look forward to seeing you all at State Convention. We have included the Ritual Application in this Breeze. The deadline is May 1st.

INFORMATION ON GRANTS FOR STATE CONVENTION If you or your Auxiliary is interested in requesting a grant from the State Aerie this fraternal year to be presented at our 2018 State Convention, ALL requests MUST be submitted to PSP Harriet Luke by April 6, 2018. The State Grant Request Form is included in this Breeze. ALL required paperwork must be submitted/completed or the request will not be considered. This includes:

a. COMPLETED State Grant Request Form.b. A brief resume of the project for which the grant is requested, including a statement that the

grant funds will only be used for research, education or equipment. c. A copy of the IRS letter of determination.

No request can be requested for more than $10,000. We recommend grants be requested for $5,000 or less so more grants can be approved within our budget. COMPLETED packages are to be sent to PSP Harriet Luke, 9788 N. Marks Road, Columbia Station, OH 44028, NOT to State Aerie Secretary Bill Isaacs. After Harriet’s review, she will forward to State Secretary Debbie Sharp for final review and recommendation to State Madam President Minda Bess. Once final determination is made, the approved requests will then be presented to the Ohio State Charity Board on May 5, 2018, for final approval/disapproval. Please send letter(s) of support for current officers and/or Sisters who you would like to see in the State Auxiliary. If you are interested in being considered for a State Officer, what better way to let it be known but to send in a letter for yourself?!
